I begin tonight's program with a look at the chart of Hillary Clinton announcing her presidential candidacy with the Sun conjunct Eris. It's a chart so interesting it makes me wonder whether she didn't have an astrologer elect the time for her. I also consider the various versions of her chart, and explain why I am using a chart that nobody else seems to use, which has her as Cancer rising. In the second half of the program I continue my discussion of digital conditions and how we are being trained to be stupid by computers. I also wonder out loud about what the digital environment is doing to "digital natives" who don't know much else. Here is the chart for Hillary's announcement as well as the natal chart I'm using. Note that in the program I am using an announcement chart that's 10 minutes later than reality. It does not change the chart much but it does make Bill's Sun's contact with the ascendant a bit less dramatic — but not much. My musical guest is Sloan Wainwright.

I begin tonight's program describing what it's like to work on the Internet under ever changing digital conditions, and building the infrastructure of Planet Waves. I also describe the connection between one's natal chart and the conditions of the world at the time of birth. I then carry that discussion into the Millennial generation and what it faces in a world that has never been less predictable or stable. In this discussion I consider two historical charts — the unification of Germany and the start of the Iraq war. Included amidst this is a discussion of the charts of Iran and the nuclear deal that was reached last week. My musical guest is Bedouin Soundclash, from the CD masterpiece Sounding A Mosaic.

Tonight I look at the Germanwings murder suicide, focusing on Mercury conjunct Chiron in the chart [view chart]. I also read teh chart for the total lunar eclipse that happens Saturday, and what we get when we pull back the veil over the Libra Moon. My musical guest is The Greateful Dead — in special form: a song by lyricist John Perry Barlow performed by keyboard player Brent Mydland; and then an oldie from the famous Barton Hall concert, Row Jimmy.

Tonight I cover the total lunar eclipse in Libra, in the first of two installments. I look at the eclipse and also at the clusters of planets in Pisces, Aries and Taurus, in this easy to follow, meditative guide to eclipses, how they work and what they mean…and this eclipse in particular.

Tonight I carefully consider the new phase of the Uranus-Pluto square — the 2012 aspect — and its relationship to the total solar eclipse and equinox. As part of the program I look closely at the very first and very last of the Sabian symbols — that mysterious set of (written) images for the zodiac degrees channeled in the 20th century.

Tonight's edition is co-hosted with my music mentor Daniel Sternstein. We talk about the current "hot conjunctions" now taking place. There are actually four of them: Sun conjunct Chiron, Venus conjunct Eris, Mars conjunct Uranus and Mercury conjunct Nessus. That's a lot of conjunctions — especially between fast-moving personal planets (Sun, Mercury, Venus, Mars) and slow-moving outer planets (Chiron, Uranus, Nessus and Eris). In tonight's program I look at the current Sun conjunct Neptune aspect, and describe the how Neptune works and how Chiron works as an astrological factor. I offer some perspective on the visual illusion of television vis a vis Marshall McLuhan, the grandfather of media theory. Then I look at the natal chart of Kurt Cobain, whose 49th birthday would have been Feb. 20. In the last section I talk about the differences between a natal chart, a solar chart, whole sign houses and a sidereal chart — an excellent primer on chart types that will be fun for anyone to listen to.

Tonight's program covers Wednesday's hybrid Aquarius-Pisces New Moon, and then continues with an interview with David Christopher, executive producer of a film called The Seed. This is the story of a family farm confronted by a Monsanto-like corporation. The interview provides a basic introduction to the issue of genetically-modified foods, and to Monsanto, and to the plight of farmers who are fraudulently sued by Monsanto for patent infringement.

Tonight's program is dedicated to Mercury stationing direct — with special attention to the themes of Mercury in Aquarius. I look at the current astrology, which includes Sun, Vesta and Mercury in Aquarius, ans many planets in Pisces. I cover events out to the Aquarius New Moon, and the Moon and Sun ingressing Pisces on Feb. 18.

Then, I consider the influence of digital life on our actual life, or rather, the ways in which they are merging. This is a bigger than we know, stranger than we're aware and it is indeed a transformation of epic proportions. As part of this discussion, I look into the scenario wherein Brian Williams lied about his experiences as an embedded journalist in Iraq.
