Lane Theirault is the CEO and founder of Independence Dental Services and was the founding director of the 2nd largest DSO in Canada.

Independence Dental Services currently has 8 locations with plans of growing through acquisition to 25 locations by the end of the year.

Lane didn't start in the dental industry but instead started in mergers and acquisitions at a large Canadian bank where he decided this was something he wanted to do on his own.

During his time as an employee at the bank, he leveraged his income to acquire some residential real estate which put him on the path to acquiring enough capital to start his own journey of acquisitions, and that's where the story gets interesting.
