With the upcoming presidential election only 24 weeks away, we’re seeing last-minute efforts to try and change the voting rules across many states. For instance, take the case of Wisconsin. Its state Supreme Court recently flipped from a conservative majority to a liberal majority—and now, as a result, the Wisconsin state Supreme Court is looking poised to reverse its earlier ruling regarding ballot drop boxes. This means that within the next few weeks, we can reasonably expect the Wisconsin ballot drop boxes to once again be placed on the streets—just in time for the upcoming August primaries. And given the fact that Wisconsin is a critical swing state, this decision by the state Supreme Court can have major repercussions on how the election plays itself out, as well as the results.
