In the second part of our epic 150th episode spectacular we are joined by our second guest, legendary voice actor, Larry Kenney. Larry is the voice behind one of John’s childhood heroes, Lion-O of the ThunderCats, but that’s not all he does. Larry is also the man behind legendary cereal characters Sonny the Cuckoo Bird and Count Chocula, having voiced them in most of their cereal commercials over the years. As if that weren’t enough, along with a retrospective look into the career of Larry Kenney, Sam and Dan join the fray for a movies segment. We talked about which movies we were excited for that turned out to be utter disappointments, because it would not be a milestone episode of Static Rift with out two of its founding members. We have been hyping this episode for months and now it’s finally time for our epic 150th episode, an episode so jam-packed with awesomeness we had to split it into two parts. We don’t just have one guest on this epic show but we have two. That’s right — TWO fantastic guests for your listening pleasure. The first of these two guest is current Marvel comics writer Marc Guggenheim. Marc has been the writer of big time Marvel mainstays such as Blade,Wolverine, Spider-Man, and most recently he has tackled the X-men. However, comics are not the only thing Marc is known for. He is also one of the co-creators the Arrowverse serving as show-runner for Arrow and Legends of Tomorrow. We talked with Marc about his career in comics, writing for movies, television, and video games, as well as his work on the Arrowverse. This episode set back in mid August sees the King of the Nerds Mitch Hallock, join our hosts just a few days before Terrificon 2018 to talk all things about the event and why it truly is the best comic con on the East Coast.

We have been a little bit behind due in part to John having surgery, so episode 148 brings us back a hand full of months to August. This episode proves to be a very momentous occasion as Jason is offically named John’s new co-host going forward. Its been forever since we have had a battle segement on the show, so Jensen returns to be battle master again. Jemsen give us the parameters of some of the hardest hitting what if battles, pitting against some of the best characters in all of comic book history, with Jason, John, and the listers picking the winners of each fantasy battle match up. Thats not all before our hosts get into all the crazy intense battles, they have a discussion with Jensen on whether or not Netflix should give the Defenders a second season.
