This week we open the show with more of the Pokémon talk, you have come to know and love from Static Rift. John and Jason talk about the all new trading and friends lists features that are changing the landscape of Pokémon Go as we know it. During the movie segement portion of the show our hosts talk about the bidding war between Disney and Comcast over the Fox movie rights. Then finally John ends the show with a fiesty wrestling take explaining why Braun Strowman is Roman Reigns Jr and should not be loved by fans, as well as why Smackdwn will always be a second rate show thats never on Raw’s level as long as Vince Mcmahon is at the helm of Wwe.

Lately it’s been a great time to be a nerd, some could say it’s currently the golden age of nerddom. In the extra long editon of the Rift we hit on all the segments you have come to love while listening to the show. First we are joined by Dom to talk all the news coming out of E3 as well as picking our winners and losers from all of the press conferences. We then move on to a comics/movie segement talking all the latest news from Marvel and DC including the return of Wolverine and Geoff Johns joining DC’s cinematic universe. Finally we end on a high note talking Wrestling and Kenny Omega’s IWGP heavyweight title win at Dominion.

With the groundbreaking announcement of the Pokémon franchise coming to the Nintendo Switch, we decided to have a whole segment about Let’s Go Pikachu and Let’s Go Eevee. John is joined by Jason to talk all the announced details mixed with a few of their theroies about the newest Pokémon offering that will coming to the Nintendo Switch this November. Then after weeks of mentioning New Japan’s Best of the Super Juniors tournment, our hosts finally have a segment about it covering both block finals and the overall tournment final.

It’s been a while since we have had a comic book oriented show but, that changes when Jensen returns to the Rift to talk all things comics. From Marvel to DC Jensen and John chat about the current best comics from each brand. That’s not all our hosts also talk about comic movies and discuss what DC has to do to get their cinematic universe back on track and debate the question can movie goers get Fatigued from comic book movies.

This week John is Joined by Jason and Dom, to talk about the future of the PlayStation 4 console. Then John Jason and Dmitriy express their disgust for the newly announced Thundercats cartoon. which leads to a discussion on the current crop of classic cartoon reboots that are just done horribly wrong.
