Can governments do whatever they want to do? Can they take all your money at gunpoint? Can they confiscate your children? Can they engage in genocide at will? Or is there a point at which they violate God’s law? The rise of statism or the embracing of the god-state has been devastating to the country and has affected the church and church leaders in the modern world. The question as to whether God is God or the state is God is an important one. Here are seven statist sins committed by the state today, and too often Christians become willing accomplices.
