COG STUDIOS, Calif. -- Major League Soccer suspended the season on Thursday for at least the next 30 days in an effort to help slow the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak that is gripping the world.

On today's show, your host Josh Guesman flies solo -- practicing his social distancing -- to bring you the timeline of events that lead up to the decision and to give you a little insight into what is happening behind the scenes.

Josh will start the show by giving you a breakdown of the news and how it rapidly went from a scenario that had LA Galaxy players and staff taking a chartered flight to Miami on Wednesday afternoon, to putting a halt to the league on Thursday morning.

He'll also discuss how other major sports played a big part in suspended the season and why MLS was one of the first to jump on that bandwagon.

Josh will even get into a decision made by the Governor of California and how that also factored into the league decided to press pause on the season.

Along the way, he'll also talk about Disneyland closing and try to put into perspective what happened today and just how big of a deal that is. Major sports across the globe are shuttering their seasons because of this outbreak, but will MLS survive it?
