Oh boy this was off the rails in all the best ways! We cover why people may get more injured during the Fall, Adam's experience being coached, beginner witchcraft, Halloween costumes, dietary restrictions and more. We even have a surprise cat intrusion.
Addison is back! We catch up and dive into everything!
Beep beep! It's us, chatting about everything. If you make it past the first 30 minutes of movie reviews we actually get to navigating the lottery season, thoughts on Western States qualifiers and lots of random hot takes!
Wow this was fruitful! Not our usual aimless ramblings but real coach discussion along with answering some listener questions. Cheers!
Bonus episode! Adam got sick and didn't run The Bear which left us time to record this week. We start off discussing what led to Adam's decision and how it applies to situations we see runners face all the time. We also discuss silly single use creatine packets, how to manage structure vs joy in the process to prevent burnout, and we (Adam) even make the case that civil engineers deserve as much "cool credit" as architects.
It's Fall, we have pumpkin lattes, and we are yapping! We discuss all the hot topics you've seen online this week, discuss Adam's last minute prep for The Bear 100, how to evaluate the success of a race, regional pride, and some gear recs!
We won't beat around the bush, this is mostly about all of our UTMB thoughts! We do however extrapolate on what the results mean for the future of the sport, UROY/TROY rankings and more. It's good to be back!
Bonjour! We had a grand time discussing the pro fields of UTMB, what we are personally excited for, and we even tried to pronounce all of the aid station names. See you in Cham!
We pulled up and yapped up! We discuss how to utilize uphill treadmill hiking in your training, how to navigate running with bad air quality, and how magical rest weeks can be. We even briefly reviewed Wuthering Heights!
We talked about everything and anything today! Excuse the foray into Lost and Game of Thrones but we included some more pertinent discussions around some popular supplements and interventions, and also discussed managing performance and expectations while training in the middle of Summer.
