  • 4: Cleansing Las Vegas, Lucas‘ Lost Toyota & Scandimonium!
Our first reality TV show pitch brings the (possibly unreproducible) magic of The Block to the gambling world, and we manage to make the nuclear weapons testing ground of South Australia even less livable. George Lucas forms the entire gravitational well of a TV show that doesn't have the budget to get him on-set for any part of it. And the entire Scandi-noir genre is taken to its logical extreme in the event that most brings out the darkness and bleak nature of the human soul: The Olympics. Also, Dan recalls a bizarre marketing campaign by a candy maker partnering with a Survivor-like TV show. If anyone remembers this as well, please reach out so I know I didn't Berenstain Bears myself.
Publisher's note: We refer to the show tentatively as Basic Pitch, and alternately as Professional Friends. But, as we all know, the show is called Steamy Potential. Nothing to be confused about here.

  • 3: The Bad Place, Familiar Fruit & Elvis Lives
Full disclosure: This is version 12 of episode 3. Call it growing pains, but we iron out the kinks and finally present a set of pitches that revolves around alternate realities: What if you woke up and your family didn't treat you like shit? What if your step-brother respected your boundaries when you get stuck in the dryer? What if Elvis was alive and he was JFK's son and together they faked the moon landing? I can't remember if any of this is in the episode, but it's good food for thought.

  • 2: Iranian Denuclearisation, Scampy Messiah & Grey‘s Autopsy
Number Two (remember Dr Evil?). We discuss a Seinfeld homage, but with subtle warfare overtones. Introducing the Chuck phenomenon. Then, The Lamb is on the lamb with his BFF Judas. Christendom's hottest new teen drama will have kids twisting their promise rings. Involves the youngest portrayal of JC you've ever seen by a forty-year-old man. Then we try to squeeze a steamy dramedy out of Death Row (spoilers, we definitely succeed).

  • 1: Born-again Gangster, Reality TV President & a Filthy Sitcom
Our pilot episode! Ironic, since they're all pilot episodes, but this one in particular. We launch the show where we pitch new TV show ideas completely from the top of our dome, and try to understand exactly why they will never be made. In this episode we discuss a gang boss with a thousand kidnapped daughters, a version of Black Mirror where every episode is just variations of the Pig vs. Prime Minister theme, and (finally) the Scrubs of porn.
