Steiny and Guru

Steiny & Guru don't believe that Brandon Aiyuk will receive the massive contract extension he's seeking because of the ramifications it will have on the 49ers FUTURE roster construction.

Steiny & Guru come together today to make their 53-man roster decisions, and then some. Who should be considered to top QB of their generation? Most important current weapon? Williams more important than... Purdy?! We also chat with The Athletic NFL's Ted Nguyen.

Hour 1 - Steiny & Guru determine whether or not Trent Williams OR Brandon Aiyuk deserve to get PAID-PAID. That's what the big fella wants. Don't we all?! In sports, that's not how business works.

Hour 2 - Steiny & Guru go through their OWN Cutdown Day and evaluate current vs. past 49ers signal callers to determine what criteria goes into the new millennium version of a GREAT 49ers QB.

Hour 3 - Steiny & Guru ask the question: Are the 49ers STILL the NFC favorites by the same margin they were last year? The Athletic NFL's Ted Nguyen helps us figure that out and if there's room for Brock Purdy to get better.

Steiny & Guru debate what a realistic 49ers fan will take this season from a team with offseason distractions and a Super Bowl hangover. Have expectations changed?!

Steiny & Guru debate whether or not an acceptable season for the San Francisco 49ers is JUST a team that skates into the postseason.

Steiny & Guru chat with The Athletic NFL's Ted Nguyen about the 49ers outlook in 2024 and how they compare to last year's Super Bowl runner-up squad.

Steiny & Guru debate who they are CUTTING & KEEPING on roster cut day! Between the 49ers QBs who have GONE to a Super Bowl, but not won, who are you keeping and cutting?!

Steiny & Guru discuss what the 49ers decisions are on the day they make final decisions on the 53-Man Roster. Is there anyone NOT there you expect to be?!
