Steiny and Guru

Former SF Giants coach, Ron Wotus talks with Guru and FP as they get into whether or not it was the RIGHT thing to do about sending Luis Matos to Sacramento.

Guru & FP try to figure out WHY the San Francisco Giants optioned their young, impressive center fielder Luis Matos for Austin Slater after winning NL Player of the Week and struggling for a couple weeks. What's the signal?!

Guru & FP debate Bob Melvin's postgame comments after the Giants lost their sixth game in a row and were NOT competitive against Arizona. The skipper is not happy.

Guru & FP Santangelo try to assess the position the Giants are in, losing their sixth-straight game (a season-high) in Arizona. It's time to start calling out effort, talent, all of it.

Guru & FP Santangelo wonder why the Giants fanbase is overreacting to a losing streak, predicated by injury, a week after beating the best team in the National Leauge. Plus, Christian McCaffrey has his extension, but Brandon Aiyuk does not. Is there something wrong with that? Finally, Bay Bridge Rivalry trivia.

Hour 1 - Guru & FP open today with a candid conversation about the banged up San Francisco Giants. Can you blame someone who doesn't play? Yes! Well, perhaps not. Don't blame the 49ers because they just inked Christian McCaffrey to a NEW two-year extension.

Hour 4 - Guru & FP now understand WHY the 49ers did what they did today with Christian McCaffrey and not Brandon Aiyuk. They're two completely separate matters, but does THAT matter to a player like Aiyuk?!

Hour 2 - The news of the day is Christian McCaffrey signing an historic extension for running backs. Brandon Aiyuk is left without a deal. Today is about CMC, but when does it become about the guy who wants nearly $10 million per year MORE than the 49ers top playmaker?!

Hour 3 - Guru & FP go back and forth about the significance of Brandon Aiyuk officially holding out. How much money will it cost him and what will it cost the team? It's up to Kyle Shanahan & John Lynch to get this done.

Guru & FP try to determine Brandon Aiyuk's value among the top WRs in the NFL. Is he worth it? To the 49ers, he IS.
