Steiny puts the rat on the table, but is it fair? Guru debates him on the point guard battle we saw at Chase Center between an all-timer and Jalen Brunson. How did the Knicks get the better of The Chef, oh no!
Steiny & Guru analyze the Warriors 15-man roster and why they appear to be too young or too old. Why can't they extract any talent from the players SUPPOSED to be in their primes?!
Steiny & Guru open the show with a sobering conversation about the Warriors at home, losing to a short-handed Knicks team 119-112. New York ran Golden State off its own court.
Steiny & Guru are back from the weekend feeling young again. Midway through the show they are feeling old again. Because, well, they are. Don't tell Guru that though. Plus, a longtime fixture in Bay Area sports is leaving us. But, is there actually a void? We try to figure this out, together.
Hour 1 - Steiny feels like Kobe Bryant because of his return to the Golf Course. Guru doesn't need that rejuvenation to come out swinging, like the Warriors did to the Lakers over the weekend. Plus, has Draymond Green taken a step as a mentor?
Hour 2 - Steiny & Guru wonder if the Warriors floor AND ceiling is intrinsically tied to their younger players, keeping the OGs where they need to be. Also, change isn't always good. Especially if it's a longtime voice like Renel Brooks-Moon.
Hour 3 - The story of the Giants parting ways with their longtime PA announcer has Guru in his feelings. Steiny has feelings, we promise. But, the larger concern is where the baseball club is going. Where are Bay Area sports voices going? And who cares at the end of the day.
Hour 4 - Steiny says let it go, shoutout Frozen. Guru will never. As long as his hairline is krispy (it is), he'll be bottle popping. That applies to sports! How? Tap in. Boys need a reality check, yes, even Steiny.
Steiny & Guru debate how the parting of ways with the San Francisco Giants longtime PA voice Renel Brooks-Moon is a part of a larger issue with the franchise and their direction, away from the glory days.
Steiny & Guru express their appreciation for the elevated performance from the aging Warriors in Los Angeles, but also that the younger players will allow the older guys to play with more efficiency down the stretch of a condensed season.
