Episode 6 welcomes our fourth guest, Spencer Marzouk.
Spencer is currently studying at Harvard Business School which is an amazing accomplishment just by itself, and by the way, isn't just a typical program to be a part of. Besides the diverse global perspectives in the classroom, he has experience working internationally with Tupperware and prior to that spent time in Alabama working for Teach For America where he helped lead the creation of The Dream Initiative.
The Dream Initiative "helps close the exposure, academic, and opportunity gaps by offering selected students with greater access to travel, mentors, networks, and tutoring. These support structures empower students to achieve their fullest potential."
We hear about the importance of global perspective - especially from a leadership point of view. The idea of transformational leadership and the impact of mentors in his life are something that have a large impact in how he pursues the next step of his life. As a former teammate, our connection developed through college and it's exciting to discuss the opportunities and importance of education and how we need to be prepared (and already preparing) for the role of preparing the next generation of leaders!
