I hope that everyone had a nice Halloween and are enjoying the crisp brown leaves of the fall.

As many of you know, the Nikolas Cruz Case winded down and basically is over now. The defendant confessed to murdering 17 innocent people in the Marjorie Stoneman Douglas High School on Valentines Day 2018.  His sentencing trial was emotional and heated at times, and this past week, the victims and their families had the chance to address the defendant in court right before his sentencing.

I just wanted to touch base with you all on the Brittany Greiner case.  Ms.Greiner is a young woman, and profesional athrlete who is currently incarcerated in Russian for possession of a vape pen which she had gone through the airport with.

She was arrested and put on trial and sentenced to 9 years in a Russian prison. There is a lot of outrage on this sentence and a big movement to bring her home.

We will discuss what we know about the case, and I am sure there will be new developments in the near future as well.

Hello all,

I saw that a few of you had listened to my episode chronichling my abstinance from alcohol for dietary purposes (Yes, I know I probably mispelled Chronichling back there)  

Anyway just a brief update on how I am doing, I continue to abstain from booze and I am not stepping it up into the intermittent fasting part of my journee. I have lost 4 pounds thus far. I have 24 more pounds to go. And to keep it off this time rather than an immediate boomerang back into  fatsuit condition again.

Anyone out there thinking about starting their own podcast?

I do not know too much about it, as I am new to the game but I can share a little bit from my almost two years of experience as a podcaster.

First of all, I just want to make an ammendment, I may not go back to being an interview podcast, hear the episode and you will hear why.

But anyway, just want to give newbies a pep talk, a bench rally to get them into the game and make their own podcast.

Thank you all for listening to my previous episode on Darrell Brooks Case. I saw so many views that I felt compelled to produce a follow up segment since there is this new development on Wednesday 10-25-22.

The outcome Mr. Brooks found guilty on several counts of homicide  plus battery and bail jumping.

If he were in NY we would say that "he is going up the river"

Next Monday is sentencing, we shall find out how much time he gets and how he reacts at sentencing, as well as any feedback from the families of the victims and victims themselves

In my opinion, the verdict is split, I meet die hards of both genres in my travels.  But I still want to have a dialogue about it, possibly hear from others, and just hear some feedback on pros and cons of either device.

In this episode we explore the current trend of elevating crime and violence within the subway system.  As I mention, I am not familiar with what is going on globally, however I do know what is going on in NYC and it is not good. It has leaders baffled and bewildered.

How did we get here? What can we do to solve it?  The problem did not manifest itself overnight, and so it is going to take more than a fortnight to heal the wound.

I start off the this Monday but talking about a horrific crime that took place about a year ago in Michigan, that of the Ethan Crumbley case in which 4 children were murdered in a  High School.

In no way to I glorify these cases and I wish these crimes never happened. Nevertheless, they do and we continue to have these situations, so I am having a conversation about some of factors, and impact upon others as well as who is to blame. I do not go too deep into detail as it is a very complicated issue.
