Strong Youth Strong Communities Virtual Summit: New Hampshire Suicide Prevention Virtual Program happening today, Friday Sept 25th online. The Strong Youth Strong Communities- NH event is going to be a virtual program taking place Friday at 11:00 a.m.. It is aimed at teenagers across the Granite State and will focus on the sensitive issues of mental health awareness and specifically suicide prevention. These issues are already a large public health concern but even more so under the many additional stresses that young adults are feeling during the pandemic (a “lost” summer, missing time with their peer group, academic pressures caused by missing a normal school environment, , financial pressures at home, fear of contracting or passing on Covid 19, etc.). The theme of the program is that You Are Not Alone. Darrell talks about his connection to sucicide, family mental health struggles and more.
