Donna Mahair, President of the Newport Area Chamber of Commerce is in studio recapping a great Twas Just Before Christmas event last Saturday night, and looked ahead to Dancing With The Newport Stars.  Tickets are still on sale to this co-production by the Chamber and the Newport Opera House Association.  We talk about Natalie Miles passing away, how she was instrumental to this annual event, and how the show must go on.

Sullivan County Manager Derek Ferland brings in two guests, from the Sugar River Valley Regional Technical Center Jen Opalinski and Alex Herzog. We talk about the free adult education classes in Claremont and Newport. The Sugar River Valley Regional Technical Center will be offering basic machinist skills classes. The County is excited to partner up with the schools to offer adult learning, we discuss the importance of strong schools in our community, how the CTE centers get young adults ready for the workforce and lots more.

Newport Police Chief Jim Burroughs is in studio.  It's been a couple weeks since he was last in.  We talk about the toy drive last week, the Newport PD's involvement in the community, being community members, and more.  The Chief talked about how different things are from TV & movies to real life police activities, cell phones, Twas Just Before Christmas, and more.  Plus Jim gave me an early Christmas gift. 

Beth Rexford from the Newport Rec Dept and Shannon Mac Michael from the Newport Area Chamber of Commerce were in studio promoting Twas Just Before Christmas & Chili Walk this Saturday night (12/14/19) in Downtown Newport starting at 4pm. Shannon and Beth talk about how both events work, Santa, crafters, lots of chili and a ton of Christmas spirit.

From Lake Sunapee Region VNA & Hospice , Jeana Newbern brings in Physical Therapist Anna Hinman.  Anna talks about her experiences with the VNA, doing at home PT, the benefit of having at home PT, her favorite muscle, why she loves working for Lake Sunapee Region VNA & Hospice and lots more.

Joe Osgood is in studio.  He was here last week, but I didn't record him as we were in the middle of the Toys For Tots toy drive.  We talk this week about me driving to Boston then RI yesterday, using GPS, the quality of roads, getting a special licence to drive a motor home and more.  Plus we look at the impeachment of President Trump, Joe's take on things, my look at the historical context of this, and more.

Linda Wadensten, chair of the Newport School Board is in studio talking about the upcoming budget process, where the finances are, how the process is looking, the money that the Newport School District will be receiving from the State and more.

Kevin Onnela is in studio and we talk about how we take care of our clothes, Kevin went to a couple funerals, & talked about a few recent local deaths, we talked about the Toy drive last week, impeachment, undercutting in business, Tesla energy, and lots more.

Wayne and Eddie are in studio talking about the old Ruger mill & the Ruger car, meals when you were a kid, bringing your kid to work, being appreciative, Wayne made an apple pie, and much more.
