Leigh Stocker from Summercrest is back in studio and she shares more about her father's cancer, and how she and her sister are now the caregivers for him.  She talks about the rights of a patient, should a patient get treated or not, and more.

Newport Rotary Club's Barbara Brill & Bruce Jasper are in studio talking about tomorrow's Penny Sale.  Over $15,000 worth of prizes are up for grab!  Tickets are only $1 per ticket, doors open at 7p.  This is the Rotary's biggest fund raiser of the year.

Kate Lepold (Library Arts Center) & Amy Bailey (Newport Opera House Association) are in studio to discuss the Sunshine Town Social on Saturday May 20th.  This co-event benefits both organizations and supports the arts in the Newport Community.  This year's theme is 00'67 (a James Bond theme) and will have lots of games, prizes, plus the silent and live auctions, food, entertainment and more.  Tickets are still available.  Amy talked about Annie Get Your Gun last weekend, and Kate talked about the Peeps Contest at the LAC., plus more.

Becky Merrow (Newport Rec) and Christy Whipple (Newport Montessori School)  are in studio to promote the Sunshine 5K happening Saturday May 20th in North Newport.  This co-event is a fund raiser for both organizations, and encourages healthy living within our community.

Turning Points Network volunteer Hanna O'Connell is in studio with TPN's Steppin' Up To End Violence sponsor David Lantz of MJ Harrington & Company to discuss TPN's annual 5k race on Saturday May 6th.  They talk about the importance of TPN, how the race works, and where the money goes.  Plus they talk lots more
