Leigh Stocker from Summercrest is back in studio.  Leigh talks about options for caregivers.  Often time caregivers don't take care of themselves, and they focus on their loved one and not as much on themselves.  There are options locally where a caregiver can do a day-out program.  Leigh talks about that, and the importance of being healthy as a caregiver.

Turning Points Network's Executive Director Kerry Rochford Hagueis in studio with & Tracy Wilkinson, who is a team leader for the Steppin' Up To End Violence 5K on May 6th.  Tracy and Steve have known each other for years, and Steve never knew she was a survivor of domestic abuse.  Tracy tells her story and how TPN helped her.  She spoke of all the wonderful things TPN does and how people can help.  We talked about the 5K, the walk itself, and how you can raise money.

Kevin Onnela is back in studio, and we are joined by 12 time American arm wrestling champion (and Newporter) Cathy Merrill.  Cathy talks about her trip out to Utah and winning another 4 gold metals!  Eventually Kevin and Steve talk politics, Kevin's new motorcycle, how he barely made it thru school, and lots more.

The Car Nutz are back in studio, Wayne and Eddie talk about Wayne driving Eddies hot rod truck, the progress of Wayne's truck's hood, their trip up to Burlington, VT to check out a Jeep and lots more.

Rep Ray Gagnon (D-Claremont) is back in studio after his weekend trip to Maine.  He talked about his 50th anniversary (planning) of his Sophomore year in college, the town of Biddeford, ME, and how vibrant the breweries are there.  We talked about the NH House failing to pass a budget, which now moves on to the Senate with no input from the House.

Ann Spencer from the  Newport School Board  is in studio.  The School Board still has one open seat after the election a few weeks back.  Thursday is the day they hope to pick someone to fill that seat, but there is time still to throw your name in the hat.  Contact the SAU office to learn more.  We talked about the role of the School Board, who is qualified for it, what they do and more.

Steve & his fiance Christine are broadcasting from her kitchen again.  They recap their hiking adventures, who won at darts (again) and how the weekend has gone.  They talked about the Peeps Diorama Show at the Library Arts Center and how Christine is coming for a week next week (keep an ear out for her!) 

Joe Osgood is back in studio.  We talk about last week's snow storm, him switching to Sling TV...for about 2 days, buying stuff online, Washington Street, and lots more. 

Pat Whitney (volunteer from Turning Points Network) and Tara Payne (Associate Vice President of Enrollment for Granite State College) discuss TPN's 11th annual Steppin' Up To End Violence 5k on May 6th.  This 5k last year raised over $100,000 and has a goal of $105,000 this year.  All the money goes back to the community as a way to help end domestic, financial and sexual abuse for both women and men.  We talked about the education programs, the work they do, and shelter TPN offers.  And Granite State College is pleased to assist, promote and support this great organization within out community.

Margaret Coulter from Road To Independence is in studio talking about all the therapeutic and on job work they do with people of all ages.  They work with disadvantaged people training them how to be a better worker, on job training, team building and life skills, in a farm setting with donkeys.  We talk about the use of donkeys, and how the donkeys help these people get better.  Plus promo'ed her up coming event and much more.
