Matthew 6:21: For where your treasure is, there your heart will

During this mornings quiet time, I confronted an attachment that had more influence over my heart than I realized. This episode isn’t about cutting someone off or pretending they didn’t matter. It’s about slowly learning how to put God back at the center of my heart, without hardening myself or numbing my emotions. I was a fan of Jesus, but not truly a follower. I admired His words, liked the idea of faith, and wanted the benefits of belief, but I wasn’t fully surrendered to obedience.
