In this episode I am chatting to Julia Middleton, Founder of Common Purpose an NGO devoted to developing leaders who can cross boundaries. Between geographies, generations, sectors, specialisations, backgrounds and beliefs. Both at work and in society.
Her new initiative, Women Emerging from Isolation is the her new initiative to connect women from different cultures, backgrounds, faiths, and beliefs. The goal: a film-club approach to intercultural leadership development to connect women leaders from around the world and develop cultural intelligence.
"We are not interested in redistributing power, our aim is to generate more of it as we emerge from isolation.”
- Julia Middleton
In this conversation we discuss:
What prompted you to set up uncommon?
Who was a leader that inspired you?
What has changed for women leaders over the pandemic?
What is your new campaign and why did you feel this was the right time to launch something like this?
What does leadership for the digital age look like for you?
What are the 3 top tips you would give a leader today?
Julia is an inspirational leader and I loved this conversation and I hope you do too.
