Season 2 Episode 14
In September of 1992, U2 was visiting Columbia, SC, to play a show. Thousands of extra people descended upon the bustling college town to enjoy a night of music, and then bar hopping along the historic 5 points district.
Dail Dinwiddie, a 23 year old college student pursuing an advanced degree, was among those ready for a night out. A young woman who suffered from severe allergies and chronic asthma, Dail never went anywhere without her medication and inhaler.
So why would she have left her purse containing both of these things on the bar top at the local pub? Last seen at around 1 am, her friends and family are no closer to reconciling her disappearance than they were decades ago. Or...is there something we are missing?
Local politician Harry Gregory sure did enjoy frequenting that pub. He also sure did enjoy pursuing much younger women. This would include allegations about his behavior with his own step daughter.
But almost more frightening, an actual serial killer was in the midst. See, he was a student at USC, where Dail also attended.
