Today’s dose of “Vitamin D” is dedicated to the fight, the courage that you have inside. Let’s be real, have you ever felt like giving up? I know I have. We all know what it’s like to have obstacles come at us left and right. Obstacles that seem to almost knock the wind out of us. Obstacles that don’t have a specific shape or form, but we battle within. No matter what those obstacles are, you must remain standing.

As Les Brown says, “If you can look up, you can get up.” You cannot control the cards you are dealt in life, but you can control how you play your hand. The key to playing your hand is to stay in the game. The only way to stay in the game is to remain standing. If you fall down seven times, get up 8!

As Monica stated in her 2010 hit single, “Still Standing,” there are times in my life that I tell myself Dawn “you gotta walk by faith, and not by sight.” Everything isn’t going to be easy and realize that “whatever, don't kill, you makes you stronger.” Then I think back on what I’ve been through and say to myself, “well, I must be the world's strongest woman!”

How big is your fight? The next time you face an obstacle stare at yourself in the mirror and say, “you can bet your last that my head won't hit the floor, never!
