In this episode of Still Unbelievable! Matthew reviews another conversion story. This one features Daniel, who is known as Darwin to Jesus on that hive of shitiness formally known as Twitter. Daniel's takes on matters of religion and atheism are bad, so bad that there are many who actually think he's a troll parodying the worst of religion. Our confidence that he is a real Christian is about 90%, the 10% in reserve is because there are times we wonder if he is a very clever troll. The main reason is because a troll couldn't keep it up for as long as he has. Which makes the things he says worthy of Matthew's special brand of sarcastic retort, which will be employed by the bucket in this episode, because the things Daniel says are genuinely pathetic and any christian who gives his stupidity a platform deserves ridicule.

The episode being responded to is link 1 and is from the podcast, Ex-skeptic. Yes, there really is a podcast called ex-skeptic, featuring versions of Christianity that actually celebrate turning away from skeptical thought. It's as though they are no longer ashamed of unreasonable credulity. If we weren't so busy rolling our eyes, we'd actually find time to pity those fools.

And with that done, let's get on with the shit show.

In this episode Matthew comments on a two part series of Christians talking about deconversion.

It really is as bad as you think it will be, and is one reason why Christians are spending far too much time talking and not enough time paying attention. The episodes are from the Apologetics Radio show and were published in 2021.

Apologist Vince Vitale did a review of a Free Will debate, see the link no 1 in the show notes. The original debate is at link 2. Matthew reviews Vince's review because there are some Christian justifications for free will that simply do not make any sense.

In this episode of Still Unbelievable! David from Skeptics and Seekers joins Matthew to discuss, and answer, 3 questions that Cameron Bertuzzi posted onto his Capturing Christianity channel. We're unimpressed by these questions because we think they reveal an attempt to trap atheists into a specific answer, and as such they are not good faith questions. This is why our discussion of the questions run to an hour. This is the edited audio of a video David and Matthew recorded, to see the full unedited video see the links in the show notes. The link to the original questions video is also in the show notes, along with the full text of the questions.

The Questions:

1) do you believe that our beliefs ought to be proportioned to the evidence?

2) if we could verify that a miracle occurred, is that good reason to think god exists?

3) if you're an atheist and you said yes to no1. and you think we have a way of verifying that miracles exists. How many of the millions of claims have you deeply investigated?
