Season Finale 🌿
This season, we explored trauma, identity, burnout, grief, rest, boundaries, and the quiet ways survival can pull us away from ourselves.
And if there is one truth I hope you carry forward, it is this:
Healing is not becoming someone new.
It is returning to the parts of yourself that survival buried.
In Episode 8, we close The Roots and the River with the wisdom of I Ching Hexagram 24 — Return, a reminder that growth is not always dramatic. Sometimes it looks like resting. Sometimes it looks like honesty. Sometimes it looks like coming home to yourself one small step at a time.
As this season comes to an end, I also want to thank each of you, my Kindred Currents, for sharing this journey with me.
This summer, I will be returning to graduate school and continuing my clinical training, so Still Waters with Li will be taking a quiet pause for a while.
Not because the water has stopped flowing.
But because even still waters need time to deepen.
This is not goodbye.
Only a quieter season.
And when the time is right, we’ll meet beside the river again.
