If you’re an investing novice, like the vast majority of Americans, the stock market and it’s wild gyrations can seem intimidating and confusing. But what if I told you that the cycles of the stock market are actually more regular than you think, and hence more predictable.

When you better understand how stock market cycles work, it becomes easier to decipher where we are in the current cycle and adjust your behavior accordingly. By upping your stock market cycle wisdom, you’ll be able to have a lively debate about the stock market at the next cocktail party or family gathering, but more importantly, you’ll be able to use the knowledge you glean from understanding market cycles to help you make smarter decisions with your money and even take advantage of the stock market.

See, if you’re able to correctly predict where we are in the current cycle, you’ll be able to put your money where your mouth is and better avoid the common, tragic pitfall of buying high and selling low. And, as I’ll show you this week, predicting where we are in the current cycle isn’t as complicated as it sounds.
