About our special guest speaker, Heidi Phillips:
Heidi Phillips is a National Marketing Director with the Juice Plus+ Company who restarted her business before moving to Phoenix, Arizona at the end of 2012 and now resides in the Atlanta, Georgia area. After graduating with honors with a marketing degree from the University of Georgia in 1986, she quickly realized the corporate world was not a good fit and decided to pursue her passion for health and fitness.
With an understanding that so many of her dreams for hers and her family were not being fulfilled, Heidi gave up her fitness and coaching business in order to focus on a business that was not trading hours for dollars and would also allow her to impact the health of many more people.
Heidi is a 2-time Ironman Triathlon finisher, an Ironman World Championship qualifier, a 3-time USA Triathlon All-American, and a world ranked age group triathlete. While her accomplishments speak volumes about her dedication to physical health, her true passion is helping others achieve their health and wellness goals through nutrition education and inspiring others to do the same.

Ashlie is from Oklahoma originally but now lives in North Carolina after some time in Colorado and Texas. She's the mom of 3 kids, 1 mini-goldendoodle, and some chickens. She's been married for 22 years and started her "crunchy" journey in 2014 when she and her family started having major health issues and traditional medicine couldn't offer any answers. Along the path she's tried many different health-world approaches and options and has fallen in love with homeopathy and how it helps the body heal from acute and chronic issues. She's been using homeopathy for 14 years and is a certified homeopath. She's currently pursuing higher education with a post-graduate degree in homeopathy but does currently see clients in person or virtually. She also offers hyperbaric oxygen therapy services. She gets excited to help people experience relief and healing from these safe and effective approaches!

In this follow-up from our 4 part series where we explored the Symptoms & Challenges of Menopause we are joined by our friend and fellow Health Coach Marie Rubbinaccio. Marie is an Intuitive Wellness Coach, DNA Wellness Coach and is the author of "Deliciously For You". We asked Marie to join us as we wrap up the conclusion of our Menopause Symptoms & Challenges series to shine some levity on what is often times a very difficult chapter in women's lives. Cortisol can be our friend and our enemy. Cortisol is a stress hormone secreted by the adrenals that has helpful effects short-term, but chronic elevated output can have damaging long-term effects.
In the short term, cortisol is our "fight or flight" response to stressful situations such as trauma, infection, surgery or emotional stress. In the long term, cortisol creates chronic stress that eventually leads to exhaustion and harmful health effects such as poor wound healing, stomach ulcers, diabetes, weakness, depression, yeast overgrowth, bone loss and abdominal weight gain.

Accountability is a very vulnerable place. Facing accountability means that we have to put ourselves in a place of absolute trust. Trusting that when you share your most vulnerable parts, people will see you and still love you for who you are. Accountability is often what stops us from taking the steps to move forward with changes that we know we need to make out of fear of exposing our most vulnerable parts. Until we face our accountability we often live in a place of self sabotage which leads to self medication and ultimately avoidance of the issue.
As Health Coaches, we are the accountability partner for our clients and we know how impactful it can be to face accountability and step into it. Freedom from the issues that burden your mental and physical health are on the other side of accepting accountability. In this podcast we unpack accountability, some of the reasons people avoid it, and explore the joy that can come from working past your fear of being held accountable.

Announcing our Summer Reading BOOK CLUB with your Health Coaches and Authors of Stop Chasing Wellness: Create It.
Tuesdays in July! Join Gina and Kristin for 30 minutes each Tues in July where we'll unpack our book a few chapters at a time. Each Book Club meeting will allow us to discuss each chapter of our book in more detail and give YOU the opportunity to ask questions, share and discuss. It might just be the most valuable thing you do for your health all Summer. We'll talk about everything from bio individuality, the basic building blocks of proper nutrition, pantry clean-out, grocery shopping, meal planning & prepping tips, intermittent fasting, acid/alkaline balance, gut health, exercise, hydration, alcohol & caffeine, rest, stress, meditation, sleep and even talk about some healthy recipes.
