Thanks to my father, my fascination with computers and technology started at an early age. It's been quite the journey - from playing Dig Dug on floppy disks, to signing on to the internet for the first time with Prodigy, to studying to become a full stack software developer at Nashville Software School. There have been a few detours on the way to getting here - audio engineering on Music Row, working with patients at a renowned treatment center, learning management skills from a premier hospitality company - but I'm amazed how many of those experiences translate to software development.

Full-Stack software developer with a huge passion for coding and problem-solving, I was born and raised in Naples, Italy and I moved to the USA in 2013 for my first experience overseas. Since then I have loved this country and the opportunities you can have if you work hard and with dedication. I have done a few jobs in my life but I have always cultivated the passion for computers and software around its world. So I jumped in the tech community with the purpose to learn and be part of this amazing conglomerate of people.

My design process is rooted in empathy and intuition, with a strong focus on user experience and emotions. I enjoy problem solving just as much as that sense of fulfillment attached to it. Becoming a developer has afforded me the opportunity and possibility to turn ideas into reality with just a computer. I am glad to be able to earn such skills at Nashville Software School (NSS).

Alex Momotyuk graduated with Full-time Web Development Cohort 35.

Since high-school coding has been my favorite part of studying and job. My passion for code helped me to land my first job at the research center in Kyiv Institute for Nuclear Research. During this employment and later working at Florida State University I got years-long experience in developing different C and C++ codes for data collection and data analysis. Nashville Software School gives me a great opportunity to begin a new software developer career.

Lauren Maxwell graduated with Full-time Web Development Cohort 35.

I traveled to my first foreign country at the age of 16 for a mission trip. My desire to help people has taken me on a lot of different paths professionally. I've worked with languages, nannied, cared for the elderly, worked for an organizing company, and as a massage therapist. I recently started a 6 month software development bootcamp at NSS. My love for learning languages and problem solving drew me to software development where I am excited to continue helping people, learning and solving problems.

Heidi Smith graduated with Full-time Web Development Cohort 35.

My husband shared with me about NSS and how he thought it would be a good fit. He loved the program and it changed his life. I really enjoyed the coding challenges that were presented in the required pre-work and decided to apply to NSS. I love learning new concepts, and ways to incorporate those concepts, and being challenged. Through web development I hope to combine my passion for helping people with my love for learning.

Nick Wessel graduated with Full-time Web Development Cohort 35.

What makes me enjoy software development is seeing the finished product of what you built after. Being able to build and see these amazing things we can build drives me to be the best dev I can be. I was raised to be a hard worker and have always strive to do my best. Working for Wolverine Worldwide really helped teach me leadership skills as well as the ability to make the right decisions when needed. I'm a quick learner and I don't give up. I find a way to get it done.
