After earning a bachelor of arts degree in Audio Engineering, I started to become intrigued with the process of software development. I thoroughly enjoy problem-solving and solution finding. In the event that there are many different ways to obtain the same result, I am naturally eager to find the most efficient way to that result. Nashville Software School has given me the tools, resources and confidence I needed to begin a successful career in software development.

At the end of my career in hospitality and customer service, I've made the switch to be a software developer. My natural curiosity for technology and my love for problem solving and collaboration is what fuels my desire to grow in this field. Being able to make amazing things with amazing people makes me grateful for each day I go to work.

I first discovered my passion for technology in the 1990s with my first computer using a MS-DOS operating systems. In high school, I wrote my first HTML code to build my personal webpage. Since then, I have been fascinated by the functionality of computers and the power of coding. My goal as a coder is to develop resources that provide meaningful and relevant experiences to users.

I am a passionate, creative person who is fortunate to have the opportunity to work in a field that I love! As a freelance audio engineer and VO artist, I was able to hone my creative skills every day at work. I enjoyed helping clients realize their goals while using skills I had been cultivating for years. I find the similarities between audio engineering and software development exciting. I'm thrilled to venture into a field that is constantly expanding and changing. As a software developer, I enjoy positivity in group dynamics, problem-solving and thinking outside the box!

Colin Sandlin graduated with Full-time Web Development Cohort 32.

I am a Full-stack Developer, but I first became an Industrial Designer because I love creative problem solving - digging deep into issues to find solutions that make people’s lives better. At the end of 2018, I left my job as a designer to begin preparing for my education at Nashville Software School. As a student, I have embraced the attitude of constant learning and have found a career that I get excited about every day. My passion for creative problem solving still drives me forward, the only difference is, now I can find solutions using code.

Jason Brooks graduated with Full-time Web Development Cohort 32.

Around 2016, I became extremely interested in coding live visuals and even

spent a little time studying electronics. I built an LED wall from scratch and rewired an analog synth from the early 80's to accept current MIDI protocol. At this point something clicked and I knew that building technical things was what I wanted to do - so I enrolled in the Full-Stack Web Dev program at NSS. It's truly been what I've been looking for all along and has been the bridge between the aspects of my life that I enjoy the most.

I am pivoting from the music industry into the world of code. Creative problem solving, effective time management and self direction are my jam, as are beer brewing, coffee roasting, motorcycles and spirit distillation.

I first recognized my passion for software development in high school during an Object-Oriented Programming course. I decided that I was ready for more of a challenge in my life. I was certain of two things: my love for technology, and my enjoyment for creating things. This epiphany lead me to become a student at Nashville Software School. Once I fully immersed myself into the environment of a software developer, I quickly noticed the great satisfaction that came along with learning so many new technologies. The quest for knowledge has become extremely fulfilling, and I wish to continue learning more every day.

My ambition to always solve problems led me to completing a Bachelor's in Computer Science and seeking a career as a software developer. I am an independent person who also enjoys working in a team. I enjoy dynamic environment and learning new things. I love coding, it lets me think logically and apply my creativity. After I moved to US, I started to take online coding courses to build on what I have, in the middle of that I heard about NSS and joined their program which is hands on. I am looking forward to challenge my self and to solve problems through code.

I am a Full Stack Developer transitioning from the healthcare industry. I first developed a passion for coding after attempting to create a game with a friend. I appreciated the logical structure of code and enjoyed the challenges it presented. After I started dreaming about code, I knew it was time to make a commitment and join a coding boot camp. I am eager to use my skill set to shape the future of the Nashville tech environment.
