  • 119. Off to the Races (2 Domino 2 Effect Part 1)

After NK gets a message from Michelle Domino, the team is off to La Reina, Calisorta for a racing event. The team isn’t really there to race though — instead, they’re going to LA for something far, far more important.

And yes, we’re retconning “LA” to “La Reina.” It’s, uh, worldbuilding. Sure.

The Stormwood team is in yet another haunted ghost town with a mine, but this time in the search of the remaining tristone of Nacurr. After some rather violent ghostly images played out in front of the team, it’s clear that the stone is in the mine… and that there’s a giant snake.

    Why is it always snakes.

An early morning visitor to the Stormwood team’s apartment sends them off after the final piece of the Tristone of Nacurr. They need the Tristones, if you recall, so they can destroy the Stone of Rebirth (aka “The Football”). The team needs to destroy the Stone of Rebirth to stop… you get the picture. So off the team goes to a random ghost town in the Helada desert. Watch out for snakes!

  • 115. The Setup? (Dope Magic Part 6)

Having defeated the spellfighters, and no longer in immediate danger, the Stormwood team is starting to realize that maybe not everything adds up in this case. Has their client been withholding things from them? Is there a vast conspiracy? Is Kel just super paranoid?

  • 114. Huddle Up (Dope Magic Part 5)

The spellfighters continue their attack on the Stormwood clubhouse, but unlike the previous fight things are going much better for our protagonists. I mean, having a scary vampire on your side probably helps a lot, y’know? In any case, cleaning up the place afterwards should prove to be a bit of a pain in the ass.

  • 113. The Siege (Dope Magic Part 4)

So the spellfighters have managed to make it to the clubhouse, and our heroes are now under siege. This time around the fight is much more balanced in the Stormwood team’s favor. Because, y’know, the resurrected samurai and the vampire they have hanging out with them. These are things people usually don’t prepare for.

Hired to protect a former journalist who previously exposed a doping scandal in the professional spell fighting league, the team ended up fighting former disgraced wizard Bodie Beaman in a gas station convenience store. Having subdued (and magically “immobilized”) the dwarf, the team has decided their best course of action is to find a way to ship Bodie to Russia. And weirdly enough, this plan seems to be working.

Right up until everything goes completely sideways.

The team has a new client, a former journalist who exposed a massive doping scandal in the Magical Dueling League years ago.
