Story Brigade: Matinee

The Babel Cinematic Universe: "The Fall of Everything" / "The Future of Dust" / "The Hubris King" / "To Speak Amongst Gods"

And we're back for another one of those episodes that Connor rolls his eyes at and goes "that's not a genre"! That's right, we've got Cinematic Universe as one of our spins and that sure does complicate things! Instead of just coming up with one movie, we've got a plethora of five to come up with! And we get there! Creating what might be the most amazing Cinematic Universe in history. Or of history. It's pretty cool, there's Atlantis and the Tower of Babel and all that.

Check of the cool Lawrence of Arabia posters HERE.

Now he's back, sharing his love of stories and rpgs and bringing a whole new perspective to the show! And we tackle some heavy stuff - I mean have you ever heard of post-post-Apocalyptic before??? I hadn't, but it's awesome!

Sam is always making really cool things, including some brand new RPGs and mods - which you can check out HERE!

On this episode we're joined by our most special of guests, our father Paul Einarsen! He's the reason Connor and I got into movies in the first place! And it happens to be his birthday today! So we decided to celebrate with a super special episode of the Story Brigade! Ever heard of the Beach Party genre? Neither had we! But our dad walks us through this largely unknown genre from the 1960s and then we throw in a bit of alien invasion to round it out!

See you on the other side!

"Scottsquay" by Ridley Scott

Yeah, yeah I know 'werewolf' isn't really a genre. Like 'dinosaur'. But it felt important to have since it has such a long history with cinema. So buckle up since Connor's a little tired and hungry and I'm a little sick and we make one heck of a movie!!! Plus we go on a couple of fun tangents for Ridley Scott's early work and what Foley is!
