This week Larry and Christian sit down via Zoom with Dale Hiscock, the one-man dream-pop wonder who is Endless Atlas. The music sounds great thanks to Dale's at-home audio engineering prowess! The convo is a tad Zoomifity, but nonetheless it was SO fun to connect with Endless Atlas and now you all in this time of continued stay-at-home-recording/listening reality. Enjoy the music and backstory of one of our Treefort favs, Dale Hiscock and his Endless Atlas!

This week as we remain in social-distancing and stay-at-home mode we wanted to touch base with a number of the amazing nonprofit organizations Storyfort and Treefort collaborate with. Amidst the lockdown and current state of the world our nonprofit friends have all had to pivot and rework their programming and outreach. So our team hopped on Zoom to check-in and see what's new.

As well, and just as importantly, we wanted to give a further voice to nonprofits as the fundraising campaign Idaho Gives is reaching its peak. Idahogives.org generates hundreds of thousands of dollars for nonprofits in Idaho each year and in this episode we get a chance to talk with five organizations among the hundreds that Idaho Gives helps support. The Idaho Gives campaign ends on May 7, 2020.

We talked with the Idaho Botanical Gardens, Lee Pesky Learning Center, Idaho Coservation League, Immigrant Justice Idaho, and Radio Boise. But, Storyfort and Treefort work with SO many other important nonprofits, The Cabin, Big Tree Arts, Treasure Valley Reads, Idaho Museum of International Diaspora, and Idaho Coalition Against Sexual and Domestic Voilence, just to mention a few.

Other Treefort Nonprofit Partners:

Enjoy! Give! Be safe and well! We're thinking about you.

You can donate to our nonprofit friends at idahogives.org.

This week as we continue to stay at home yet stay connected, Storyfort Presents hosts Larry Rosen and Christian Winn hook up with Ali and Travis Ward of Hillfolk Noir. Boise-based Hillfolk Noir have played Treefort from the start, and are stalwarts of the Northwest music scene. In this episode, we get a handful of their Junkerdash tunes (part bluegrass, parts roots, parts punk) and talk about how the band - and Ward family - are navigating life, art, community, basketball and love amidst the isolation and uncertainty of our current times.

This week amidst all our social distancing we've asked a number of Storyfort writers - past, present, future - to send us short video clips featuring their work and writerly lives during these isolated times. This episode of Storyfort Presents: Voices of Treefort Music Fest compiles the audio of these videos along with short introductions of the artists by Storyfort Director, Christian Winn, and Storyfort Assistant, Amy Burton. We hope this helps us all stay connected as we look to make art and cultivate community in these complicated times.

You can find the nine videos from Kim Cross, Mary Pauline Lowry, Carrie Callaghan, CL Young, Catherine Kyle, August McLaughlin, Lyd Havens, Kelly Harwood, and Jamie Ford at our Facebook page - https://www.facebook.com/storyfortfest/videos/236655964338183/
