You don't need to major in creative writing to begin a blog or write an excellent speech.  However, you will want to add story of people and situations to make clear and effective points.

New writers sometimes stick with concepts they know and use their blog to teach or simply to share.  Essentially, their blog is a summary.  But is this enough? To really entice your readers, offer stories - not just concepts - about people and situations that have undergone changes.  Be sure to reveal your expertise.

 There really is something fun and magical about turning the calendar page to a brand new year - 365 beautiful days in front of you to create on a shiny new canvas.  

At every moment and  every crossroad, we are choosing what we want to see on our canvas - we are literally designing life!  If you're anything like me, you might confuse the excitement of a new year with rushing full speed ahead.  And this is how we make the new year look a lot like the last year.

Perhaps this is the year that you will write your book or offer your TedX speech.  Who says you need to rush into it?  Planning and organizing is an important step. Drafting requires intention. And editing only works when you can take a short breather between drafts.  

Rushing is never required.  Feeling excited - now that's a great place to be - But rushing could send you into tailspin.  I suggest working with a coach and getting focused. Learn to work thoughtfully with time.
