Story U Talk Radio with Coach Debby

Writing a book is a very creative process that I will break down in phases. I love making books! And I understand that for many people, it sounds pretty overwhelming.

Today's show will get into 5 phases of book writing and inspiration available to you along the way. I strongly suggest that you follow your favorite authors and listen to their interviews. You'll hear them share their vulnerable journey, and it will help you honor the phase of writing you are in as well.

After all, an author is a real human being. Your favorite authors went before you, and by listening to their interviews, you're reminded that they are admirable individuals with a story, just like you. They once were finding their way through book writing... just like you.

I am currently accepting requests for individualized coaching. Feel free to follow any of the links below.

Many people think they don't have a "writer's" voice. On the one hand, they really want to produce great writing. On the other hand, they believe they lack charisma to share words on paper. Can you relate to this?

Today show will help you understand the myths standing in your way. Don't fall for the lies. Your voice isn't lost; your voice needs your time and attention so it can develop.

Most of us put WAY too pressure on ourselves to be excellent at just about anything we care about. We want to be excellent friends, partners, workers, and - you guessed it - writers! We don’t want to settle. My suggestion is that you give yourself the time to get to know how YOU like to write and the space to develop over time.

I am offering courses and 1:1 coaching. Please request a free consultation. Send me a note and I’ll send info:  https://coachdebby.com/connect

I have coached so many amazing people that tell me they have writer's block, but I'm not fooled by that :) Most of us (including me) experience, emotional upset that makes us THINK our writing days are over. The truth is that we can't write as clearly or thoughtfully when tangled up emotions are dictating every word.

So you're not experiencing writers block. Your experiencing distress in your personal or professional life.

Today I'm offering good news: I can help you with this! I like to use an ancient tool called the Enneagram. You certainly don't need any background with this tool to follow along easily with this episode. I believe the content of today's show will give you peace as well as a few tricks you can use to quickly get "unblocked."

And I have far more tricks up my sleeve. I also offered Classes and Retreats. I've just started talking about the latest offerings in this newsletter:

Since most of us work at a job or around the home, it's a good idea to check in periodically and ask if we're happy? Are we using our best skills, and are we feeling inspired throughout the day? Are we creating the life we want?

We create the stories of our lives! Many people are aware that they've reached a certain level of competency, but not necessarily the happiness they've dreamt about. Gay Hendricks addresses this in his book, The Big Leap.

Today, Coach Debby will take you through several concepts from Hendrick's book and help you recognize that you have the power to claim your "Zone of Genius."

Description: It’s a skill you need. Storytellers make profound impact! While human brains are naturally wired to process the world through narratives, not every has the talent to tell a great story. However, learning is fun, and I am offering a class I’d like to share with you. Follow this link: https://us17.campaign-archive.com/?u=b4e0e4813c2d5d7bc3e03507b&id=c1828ad5f5
