Straight To The Sauce

Happy New Year everyone and welcome to 2024! Was lucky to be on location in Coffin Bay with my best mate, Billy Lawrence (guest from episode 6), to record the first episode of the year!

Just a couple of mates enjoying a mojito, spinning some yarns and chatting about our 2023 highlights and goals for 2024.

Take it real easy everyone, enjoy the rest of your holidays and I'll catchya soon!

Cheers,

Sauce xx

Welcome to the last episode of Straight to The Sauce for 2023. I am really happy I got to sit down and chat with such an awesome person for this one!

Jack Symes lives in regional Victoria and has lived a few lives in his short 28 years. He has served in the Australian Defence Force, won a couple of footy grand finals, ran 100km's to raise money for Mindfull Aus and along the way he has dealt with his own mental health struggles as well experienced the loss of his best mate from suicide.

Jack talks openly about all of this, he really leads by example in this space, and I am so grateful he gave up some of this time in his busy schedule to come on the pod.

Now I understand that talking about suicide and mental health can be confronting for some, and if you need to talk about it then please reach out to the relevant support lines in Australia such as Lifeline.

However, Jack and I believe it is extremely important that we have these difficult conversations with those around us so that we can be the change we want to see in society. We have to start talking. We must start talking.

I hope you all enjoy this episode and can take something away from it. All I ask is that you please share this episode to your socials, tag Mindfull Aus as well, so that we can spread the word and begin to help one another.

Please also give Mindfull Aus a follow on the socials, their insta handle is linked below!

Have a great New Years everyone, check in on your mates and loved ones, have fun but most importantly, be safe.

Catchya in 2024!

Cheers,

Sauce xx

Here we are with episode number 13! Really loved sitting down with Kiahni Russell for this ep, she has plenty of energy and speaks really well for someone so young.

Tune in to hear about Kiahni's upbringing, love for farm life and her decision to switch to SEDA College for Yr 11 and 12 and how that has given her a new found confidence and also set her up for success in life.

"K-Dog" is also a talented footy player, she's played country A Grade footy, Association Footy, been apart of Port Adelaide's Next Gen Academy, so we speak a lot about footy and you'll hear about the significant change she has made in the lead up to the 2024 SANFLW season.

Really proud of you Kiahni, you were a great student for me to mentor and now you're the one teaching me a few lessons on how to approach life and I'm sure many others will follow the wise advice that you give out in this episode as well!

Enjoy the chat everyone, and be sure to share it around!

Cheers,

Sauce xx

Happy Monday everyone, I hope you had a nice weekend and managed to stay dry here in SA!

I put the toes up on the couch all weekend long, which was bloody nice, and capped the weekend off with a glass of red, from First Drop Wines, and a roast!

In this ep I'll share my experience from last Friday, getting out of my comfort zone with my mate Walshy, at Strong Pilates in Port Adelaide! Never done pilates before and this was another level of fitness.

Highly recommend checking it out if you are looking for something new to do and challenge yourself, as the space is awesome and the trainers are all absolutely fantastic and super supportive! I'll be heading back again in the new year to get a couple more sessions in.

At the very least, give them a follow (insta page is below) and check out what they do!

Have a great week guys and I'll catch you all this Thursday for next the guest episode of Straight to The Sauce.

Cheers,

Sauce xx

Well, it's finally here, apologies for delaying guest episode number 12 but sometimes time just gets away from you! But I'm so glad to get the latest episode ready for a special Monday release and I hope you all enjoy it.

It was really special to sit down with my best mate and brother, Sam Pedler, for episode 12 and talk about life, music and the struggle of losing our best mate, Mike, over 10 years ago.

We share plenty of laughs as well as lessons we learnt after the tragic passing of or best mate and only hope he would be proud of the humans we are today.

Please enjoy the ep and always make an effort to catch up with your mates and loved ones as we never know when our time with them may come to an end.

Cheers,

Sauce xx

You know when you go to the bakery and get a meat pie and ask for sauce, and they give you two sauce packets instead of one?? Well, think of this extra episode of Extra Sauce as being the same as that. It's just a massive bonus!...

Okay, that's me trying to be positive after I fucked up this week and mismanaged my time and had to postpone the guest episode.

But please, enjoy this episode where I talk about the upcoming Run Club at Henley Beach and also shed some light on the new episode concept called "On The Sauce". That is something that I am really excited about!!

Have a great Thursday guys and I'll catch you real soon with the next guest episode which will come out this Monday!

Cheers,

Sauce xx

I hope you're all having a nice Monday and apologies for the delayed episode everyone!

"Don't be scared to ask for help", that's what my most recent guest, Logan Evans, said on the pod and it inspired me to do exactly that.

In this weeks Extra Sauce, I briefly touch on how I went to my GP and asked for some help in dealing with a recent traumatic event and I thought I should share this with you all to show some vulnerability and hopefully help others do the same.

Please have a listen, and remember, it is okay to ask for help!

Cheers,

Sauce xx

Holy hell have I had a few unreal days! Seriously impressed and proud of a couple of things I've achieved by just getting the fuck out of my comfort zone and havin' a crack!

I've spent years just happy sitting still and relaxing and it's no wonder my confidence with life has been so low.

Have a listen to this weeks ep to hear me chat about public speaking and running a half mara and stick around for the challenge I've set for you all which could see you win a genuine "I F**king Get To" sticker! Who doesn't love free shit!?

Have a bloody great week everyone!
