Deling Sun was 29 years old when she disappeared from San Gabriel, California on July 30, 2003. Her vehicle was located months after her disappearance at the Tom Bradly Terminal of the Los Angeles International Airport, and police found "significant forensic evidence" contained therein.

Police are actively looking for two material witnesses in Deling's case:

Jin Hong Ji: Chinese female, 5'1" tall, 100 lbs, born on June 26, 1966 and 37 years old at the time of Deling's disappearance

Jiawei Gao: Chinese male, 5'5" tall, 150 lbs, born on April 20, 1965 and 38 years old at the time of Deling's disappearance
