This episode using a fishing analogy and is about salespeople leaving the safety of calm waters along the shore or fishing from a nice bridge to drop their lines into water…with hundreds of other fishermen. This analogy will look at the more riskier, deep-sea fishing done by salespeople who put out the effort to reap the big rewards.

I have to admit that it's tough sometimes for my company to clearly and indisputably differentiate itself from marketing companies. I have to tell white collar small business owners that marketing is about exposure, images, and perception. Often, buyers discover that the true product or service offering or promised result is much different than what the marketing claimed.

But here is what I know as a son and nephew of a family owned barbershop-hair salon combo chain in Tampa, Florida. There are more stylists than people wanting hair services on a regular basis.
Plus, this is something hair stylists already know. It's hard to get new hair customers and it's easy to lose your current hair customers. On one hand, hair customers are loyal to their stylists-customers swear their stylists are the best. Then, on the other hand, one bad hair situation or an expected personality clash situation may flare up and dissolve the bond between the hair stylist and customer.

321 Biz Dev has added traditional small business owners to its client base through General Smabo. Smabo is an acronym for "small business owner". Covid-19 government lockdowns and shutdowns have crushed small business owners. As businesses begin to limp back to reopen status, small business owners have to do more to promote their businesses. Facebook, Instagram and Twitter are not reliable methods to find more customers.

Business owners suffer financially and lower their business stature by keeping their mouths shut instead of facing rejection and making themselves vulnerable.
