In my opinion, there's no "right" or "wrong" answer here + definitely no "rules", but this kind of relationship crossroads offers more of an opportunity for some deeper self-inquiry, a values check, getting clear on your intentions + a chance to practice RADICAL honesty + personal ownership

A lot of the folks I've connected with over the years (and I've been there, too) are trying to line up the next relationship + "secure" it BEFORE they end a relationship or they try to force that to happen ~in order to~ make their choice...

...rather than understand that to create a healthy connection, we've got to feel more secure with ourselves, by ourselves, first OR we're just gonna recreate the same issues in the next situation.

What I'm suggesting is that when you know your patterns + you're willing to take responsibility for them, you get the chance to either heal within your current relationship (if BOTH of you are open + willing to put in the effort) OR move into your next chapter without having to take the unresolved issues with you

*If you've never been single or haven't been alone for very long spending quality time with you, then the next step is usually to spend some time by yourself, learning who you are on your own without distractions

*If you tend to be more avoidant, the next step is usually leaning into the discomfort of that sustained closer connection/intimacy without running/shutting down instead of choosing to stay alone - even if that means *self-intimacy* for awhile or practicing platonic intimacy with friends, family, etc.

We all have the next phase that's going to serve us the most, but bottom line:

🔥We can run, but we can't hide from our lessons, because ultimately Conscious Relationship is a mirror that we're willingly choosing to evolve within
