I love myself and take great pride in stroking myself and ensuring my cup is overflowing. It can be challenging. Life and others can deplete all everything in your cup. I can recall times my cup was nearly empty. I wanted others to fill it so badly. It was an unrealistic dream. I discovered after a lot of therapy that it was up to me and only me.

I learned to fill my cup daily:

• words of affirmation
• getting my hair or nails done
• meditation helped a lot
• working out made me like my body more
• appreciating the friends and family I did have versus those I didn’t
• journaling the positive and negative helped me express myself
• making myself a priority
• eliminated everyone that was negative, struggling, and not aligned with me at the time

I learned how to stroke others and ensure I was filling their cup during that time:

• Compliments - tell a man or woman they’re beautiful anytime I thought it.
• Buying coffee or lunch
• Making it known that I cared or understood
• Listening was huge
• Being present was another way I stroked others

When it comes to filling your cup, stop depending on others. You do it!

Give yourself the compliment, buy yourself flowers, and be happy!

Stop waiting on others do it for you. They either don’t care or have the time. Or they’re not happy within their own skin.

We must make ourselves happy first!

Keshia stated we must get clear on what makes us happy, be intentional, and don’t be afraid of new things. When it comes to finding or keeping your partner, remember the 80 / 20 rule. Cherish the 80% that your partner provides and create the 20% by finding friends, hobbies, and life outside of your relationship. Schedule dates with yourself and don’t cancel.  “Our partners are to compliment us not be a clone”.  For those that fight about money, schedule “Money dates”. She talks about this in depth.  We also talked about scheduling “sex dates”.
