Satisfaction comes through death to self and living to Jesus.

Satisfaction comes by exchanging the temporal for the eternal.

Satisfaction comes in serving.

The story of Lazarus teaches us at least four realities when we face death:

Friends and Family can help.

God is always near.

We need not fear death.

We can bear witness to both grief and victory.

Are we loyal in our worship, service, and witness ?

We are called to be "rooted and grounded in love."

Paul prays we would know the "breadth, length, height, and depth" of Christ's love.

Christ's love ultimately surpasses knowledge but we can grow in it and though we may not have sufficient words to describe it, we can point to the cross!

"Teach me, O Lord ....!"

Psalm 119:33-40 is a prayer that the Lord would teach us His Word and his Ways.

Jesus calls His followers and they know His voice and they follow.

Have we heard His voice?  Are we following?

Hide God's Word in Your Heart!

Read God's Word; study God's Word; meditate on God's Word; memorize God's Word.

The reactions of the neighbors and the Pharisees to the healing of the man born blind are divided.

But the man is not divided.  He progresses from simply describing the miracle, to declaring Jesus is a prophet, to professing faith in Jesus!

The text challenges us to ask what we believe about the miracles of Jesus.  It also challenges us to confront legalism and stand strong in faith.

Ultimately it asks, "Do you believe?"

Blessed are those who walk in the law of the Lord!

Jesus said he was working while it was day for night was coming.  He only had a limited time on earth to work, so he must keep working.

The same is true for us; we only have a limited time to serve the Lord.  Therefore let us work while it is day!
