Psalm 100 is a call to Worship the Lord.

Seven imperatives are used to call us to worship the Lord!

Like John the Baptist declared, "He must increase and we must decrease!"

The Gospels record a variety of responses to Jesus.  Some were hostile.  Some rejected him.  Some thought Jesus was a madman. Some were superficially drawn to Jesus. Some were attracted to him but  not committed.  But some received him and became committed followers.

How will you respond to Jesus?  Fan or follower?

God is Holy!

We need to better understand just how holy God is.

We are called to be holy as God is holy.

Bucky Hunsicker introduces us to the John series.

He reminds us:

Where the Holy Spirit collides with chaos and darkness new creation happens.

Jesus is life and light

Gospel of John is written that we "may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing (we) may have life in his name."

We were bought at a price.

We are not our own.

The Holy Spirit dwells in us.

Glorify God with your body.

Psalm 98 is a joyous song of praise.

It is a call to praise God for God is:

Our Savior

Our King

Our Judge

On the 75th anniversary of Stuart Presbyterian Church, let us remember what God has done, what God is doing, and what God will do!

The Lord Reigns!

God is sovereign over all!

Therefore, we can:

Trust God in our trials.

Rely on God's grace.

Trust and Obey God's Word.

Live boldly

We live very busy lives and that makes the practice of solitude difficult, but it is all the more reason we need Solitude.

After some of Jesus' busiest moments, he got away for times of silence and solitude with God.

This message shares reasons we need solitude and ideas for practicing solitude.

Hospitality is clearly taught in the Old and New Testament and has been practiced by Christians from the very beginning.  Jesus himself modeled being a generous and gracious host.

What might it look like for us to practice hospitality in our homes and churches?
