Verses 1-6, The King's Glory

Verses 7-9, The King's Due

Verses 10-13, The King's Coming

While the world around us declares:  "Accumulate, accumulate!" and "Mine, mine!", the biblical view of household economics declares to us:  Have enough for your needs; but not your greeds; and share some of your blessings with others.

Psalm 95 is a Call to Worship.  It is a call to worship God joyfully and enthusiastically with songs and instruments and shouts of joy.

Christ gives us freedom from: Sin's bondage, sin's penalty, and sin's shame.

Christ gives us freedom for: new life with God, service to God

We do not seek persecution and it certainly should not come because we're obnoxious.

But if we walk in the footsteps of Jesus and live according to the beatitudes we are bound to face persecution. 

The blessing is that we are walking in the footsteps of Jesus and great are our rewards in heaven.

Do you delight in worshiping God?

Is corporate worship a treat or a trial?  A delight or a duty?

The Lord is our Refuge and Strength.

The Lord does not necessarily keep us from the terrors, but the Lord keeps us in the midst of the terrors.

The Pure in Heart have an undivided devotion to God.

No one is perfect in their devotion to God, but trusting in the grace of God, the instruction of Scripture, and the power of prayer we can become increasingly pure in heart.

Thus we see God now and we see him face to face for all eternity!
