  • Prayer 2021 - July 9 - Refuse to Worry pt 1
Scripture For Today:1 Samuel 12:23“As for me, far be it from me that I should sin against the Lord by failing to pray for you. And I will teach you the way that is good and right.”Refuse to Worry pt 1We have been studying what the Apostle Paul has taught us concerning having the Peace of God operating in our lives. What exactly did Paul teach in order for us to have this peace? Look at Philippians 4:6:
    “Be careful for nothing…”
We don’t talk that way anymore. A more modern definition would mean, “Stop worrying about everything.” Amen! The Amplified Bible says, “Do not fret.”
Basically, too many Christians worry about too much stuff going on in their life and in the world around them. That is one of the main reasons we do not have the Peace of God operating in our lives today.
So, the first step we need to take in order to have the Peace of God operating in our life is to stop worrying about everything. In some cases, you may actually have to say out loud, “I’m not taking that thought.” Or “I refuse to worry about that.”
When some person, and especially when I’m talking with another preacher, begins to share with me all of the troubles in this world right now and how bad it is getting, and I respond with, “I’m not worried about that…” – you should see the funny looks I get! Praise God!
And these are born again, often Spirit Filled believers! It seems as if they don’t worry about something, they feel like they are doing their job or something! It is almost like, if they don’t worry about things, they won’t have anything else to do. Amen!
But, I have found in the Word that we are not supposed to worry. We are not supposed “have a care in this world.” Amen!
In 1 Peter 5:7, it says, “Casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for YOU!”
Amen! Think about that! If Jesus is caring about you and all that is going on in your life, what do you have to worry about? Glory to God!
Now, I could go off on huge rabbit trail right here to explain all of this. But, rather than keep this session running long, why don’t we just pick it up right here tomorrow? Amen!

  • Prayer 2021 - July 7 - The Peace of God pt 6
Scripture For Today:2 Kings 20:5“Go back and tell Hezekiah, the ruler of my people, ‘This is what the Lord, the God of your father David, says: I have heard your prayer and seen your tears; I will heal you. On the third day from now you will go up to the temple of the Lord.”

The Peace of God pt 6

We have been studying what the Apostle Paul had to say about the benefits of praying in the Spirit. Yesterday, we shared how the world calls promptings of the Holy Spirit your “conscious.” The world believes it is your inner man that knows right from wrong that is telling your mind what to do or not to do.

We’ve discovered that it is the Holy Spirit speaking to your inner man, your spirit being, that is actually doing the prompting.  The example I gave was of robbing a store. You know it’s wrong and all the way to the store, on the inside of you, you hear “Don’t do it. Don’t do it.”  But, if you follow through, suddenly your anxiety level is way up, because you are AFRAID now of getting caught. You’re suspicious of everyone you see, etc.

We learned that is because the Peace of God, which is what we’ve been discussing, has left. The Holy Spirit withdrew the Peace of God from you because He cannot participate in sin. He is not going to give you peace when you are willfully sinning. Amen!

People out in the world, and yes, even other believers sometimes, will look at us in amazement because they cannot understand the peace we have, even in the midst of trouble and turmoil. They cannot understand why some of us enjoy more peace than others, even while going through tests and trials. They can’t understand it because the Bible very clearly says, in Philippians 4:7, “Peace that passes all understanding…”

I’ve heard some Christians talk about the tests and trials they are enduring – expressing worry and concern, etc. simply because they do not understand this. They do not know how to pray and obtain the Peace of God which passes all understanding. They do not understand that if they would move into that position of peace, it will keep their hearts and their minds – through Christ Jesus – allowing them to have the Peace of God, even in the midst of their trials.

    Amen!

  • Prayer 2021 - July 7 - The Peace of God pt 5
Scripture For Today:Habakkuk 3:1“This is the prayer of Habakkuk the prophet, on Shigionoth…”The Peace of God pt 5

We have been studying what the Apostle Paul had to say about the benefits of praying in the Spirit. Yesterday, we discovered that Peace of God can leave you if you are starting to participate in sin.

Many people will say this is your conscious speaking to you, but it is really the Holy Spirit speaking to your spirit man.  And if, instead of planning on whatever sin you are going to do, you actually follow through and DO the sin, the Holy Spirit withdraw His Peace from you and you can actually sense that as He leaves.

For example, let’s say you are thinking of robbing the 7-11 down the street. You know it’s wrong. You know you should not do that. But, as you continue to do so, the Holy Spirit will be telling your spirit man, “Don’t do that!”

As you start to walk down the street to carry out your dastardly deed, the Holy Spirit will intensify His warning, “Don’t do this! Don’t do this!”

If you fail to heed His warnings, and actually go through with the robbery, His presence will leave. Now, as you are running away, trying to figure out how not to get caught and finding a place to hide, for what, a couple of hundred dollars, tops? Now you are nervous, anxious and worried.

There is definitely NO PEACE there! Amen!  The Holy Spirit has left you. You failed to heed His warnings, you followed through on your plan – even though you knew all along it was wrong – now, you are on your own.

When you get caught (and you will), and they slam that jail cell door on you, you will then sit there and say things like, “God, why did you allow this to happen?”

In actuality, the Holy Spirit was telling you all along you should not do this, but you failed to listen. He withdrew His Peace because He could not participate in sin. He had to leave you alone because He cannot sin. Amen!

Let me give you another example, this one from the Bible.  2 Corinthian 5:21 says:

“God made Him (Jesus) who had no sin, to become sin for us, so that in Him, we might become the righteousness of God.”

Without going into a deep, theological discussion of this verse, because it would take way too long for the format of these programs, let me just say this verse means that OUR SIN was imputed (or credited) to the Jesus.  That way, His Righteousness could be imputed (or credited) to us. Amen.

Now that we have that established, let’s move to the next verse I want you to see and then we will close…

In Matthew 27:46, Jesus, who has always been God as part of the Trinity, is on the cross. The sin of the world was imputed to Him. We have already established that the Holy Spirit and the Peace of God from the Holy Spirit, cannot participate in sin and will not remain present when, what? When you willfully participate in sin, right?

Here, Jesus willfully TOOK the sin of the world upon Himself. At that moment, not only did He receive the sin of the world, but He felt for the first time since Eternity began, the ABSENCE of God in His Spirit man!  How shocking that must have been!

And, in immediate response, He was confronted with what it will be like for unbelievers to experience the absence of God – and He shouted out, “My God, My God, why have you forsaken me?”

For this was the moment when God left Him alone – to bear the entire pain, shame and loss of God’s presence!  That had to be have been terrible!  And it will be terrible for everyone who is not born again. It’s a horrific thought, amen?

I want to pray for you right now, if you have never received Jesus as your Lord and Savior, think on what we have just shared.

  • Prayer 2021 - July 6 - The Peace of God pt 4
Scripture For Today:1 Kings 8:42 “…for they will hear of your great name and your mighty hand and your outstretched arm – when they come and pray toward this temple.”
The Peace of God pt 4

We have been studying what the Apostle Paul had to say about the benefits of praying in the Spirit. Yesterday, we discovered what the word “and” actually infers when we are reading our Bibles.  The word “and” is a conjunction that connects two meanings or thoughts together.

In the context of our scripture from Philippians 4:6-7, it connects something we are supposed to be doing with something that we will receive in return. Let’s look again at Philippians 4:6-7:

“Be careful for nothing, but in everything, by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which passes all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”

So, if you do what verse six tells us to do, “Be careful for nothing, but in everything, by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God,” then we can have what verse 7 promises us, “And the peace of God, which passes all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”

We cannot jump straight to verse 7 and start “naming it and claiming it” unless we fulfill our obligation under verse 6 first, which is pray to God by not concerning ourselves with the cares of this world, but to simply lift our concerns to God through prayer, supplication and with thanksgiving in our praises to Him. We can do this because we know He cares for us – which is why we should not have a care in this world.

Notice when we begin to do this, we receive the “the peace of God, which passes all understanding.”

Those around you will think something is wrong with you!  They will wonder why you are not worried, why you are not concerned and why you are not consumed with “the cares of this world!”

What they don’t realize is THEY are the ones with something wrong with them! Amen!

The Peace of God that YOU receive has nothing to do with natural circumstances. It is the result of “heart faith,” what you believe in your heart, not your head.

Heart faith is different from you may be seeing and experiencing in the natural. The natural mind is consumed with natural things. But your spirit man exists in your heart, your spiritual heart – and it is where the Holy Spirit of the Most High God dwells.  You cannot be consumed with temporal things of this world when you are an eternal being, created in the image of Jesus – who is the image of God Himself!  Amen!

You have probably done something at some point in time where you have LOST the Peace of God. I know I have – which is why I know have also.

We do something that we know we should not being doing.  The world says, “your conscious is bothering you.” To the world, that is how they can explain it.

What is really happening is the Holy Spirit is convicting you about what it is you are about to do or have done. “the peace of God, which passes all understanding”  is absent.

Why?  Because God is not going to be present to help you commit sin!  This is His way of telling you that what you are about to do is wrong.

A Spiritually sensitive person is going to sense the Peace of God leave them and will STOP what they are doing, repent and get back into the presence of God so the Peace of God will come back to them.

Alright, I’m going over time again today. We will take it up here tomorrow.

  • Prayer 2021 - July 5 - The Peace of God pt 3
Scripture For Today: 2 Samuel 24:25“David built an altar to the Lord there and sacrificed burnt offerings and fellowship offerings. Then the Lord answered his prayer in behalf of the land, and the plague on Israel was stopped.”The Peace of God pt 3

We have been studying what the Apostle Paul had to say about the benefits of praying in the Spirit. Yesterday, again, the Holy Spirit led us down a side path discussing the soon to come destruction of the United States – so if you missed that – go back and listen.

Although we, as believers, are saved and born again, and even filled with the Holy Spirit, in our natural minds, sometimes we still try to get the blessings of God in some other way than how God has told us to appropriate them.

Philippians 4:6 says, “Be careful for nothing, but in everything, by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God.”

Verse six tells us how to have what verse 7 promises, which is: “And the peace of God, which passes all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”

You cannot jump over verse six and go directly to verse 7. It does not work that way. If you are only praying verse 7, what it promises is yours, and you ignore the requirement in verse six, you are trying to get the promises of verse 7 on your own. And it will not work. Period.

Yet, people will ask me to pray for them all of the time that they may “have the Peace of God” in whatever it is they are trying to do.

But I can’t pray that for you to have the peace of God unless you fulfill Philippians 4:6 first.  It would be like approaching say a five step entrance to an office building. You could stand on the sidewalk ask every person that goes by to help you get into the building. And every person will tell you, take the first step!

In the same way, you could not pray for God to give His “peace that passes all understanding” without you following God’s command on to obtain it.

Philippians 4:6 tells us that, in order to have the Peace of God rule in our lives, we must first, “Be careful for nothing, but in everything, by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God.”

Then, verse 7 says begins with, “AND.”  It says, “And the peace of God, which passes all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”

Now, one of my worst subjects in school was English grammar. It still is, it’s just that I’ve gotten slightly better at in my old age. Amen!  But the word “and” is a conjunction. It is a word that joins to other words or thought together. In this instance, it is joining verse six and verse seven together.

In other words, if you do what verse six instructs you to do, then verse seven will apply. So if you do the first, then you obtain the second part. If you fail to do the first part, the word “and” does not apply and the remainder of the promise does not apply to you.

One more example and then we will close for today.

What if you bought one of those new cars that has a key-bob instead of a regular key, and you’ve never used one before. You don’t know where to put the thing to unlock the car door, so you call the salesman for help.

He will say something like, “Just take the key-bob and walk towards the car. When you get within 10 feet, the car senses the key-bob and then you push the button and unlock the car.”

If you do not take the key-bob with you, then none of the results apply. If you do, then the stand in the office building, looking out the window pushing the button,  nothing happens. You need to walk towards the car. But, you cannot just walk into the parking lot and start pushing the button. You need to walk within ten feet of the car. Then the second “AND” applies as well.

Each step joins itself to the prior step. As you complete each step, you obtain the results  you wanted. In the example of the stairs to the office building, you cannot just take the first step and expect to be inside. You need to take each step, one at a time and then you obtain your desired result of being able to enter the building.

You

  • Prayer 2021 - July 4 - The Curse Upon This Nation pt 2

    Scripture For Today:

1 Samuel 8:6 “But when they said, “Give us a king to lead us,” this displeased Samuel, so he prayed to the Lord.”
The Curse Upon This Nation pt 2

Independence Day!  The 4th of July!  Fireworks! BBQ’s and gatherings of family and friends! A national holiday to celebrate the publication of the Declaration of Independence!

From the initial writing of the Declaration of Independence through the writing of the Constitution; from the writing of the State Constitutions and through legal decisions issued by the Supreme Court – our Judeo-Christian heritage was always referenced in some form or fashion.

This  nation was founded on the Bible. There is no other way around it.

Racists, Black Lives Matter, Socialist politicians – all of them – cannot prove otherwise.

And, the funny thing is, their protests which they claim is their “Constitutional right” to conduct and all that they say, is truly protected by the very documents they claim are illegitimate. They stand on the rights contained in their First Amendment and others to be able to protest against everything this nation is doing.

Their logic is so illogical, it’s downright funny.

They say they want to abolish the police, the military, etc. If that happened, who would they call when home grown law enforcement (i.e. militia’s) would rise up to replace the vacuum created by their “defund the police” tactics?

In many of these major liberal metropolitan cities, last years “Defund the Police” antics has backfired tremendously – and humorously – in their faces!  Crime rates have soared tremendously.  Now, they are trying to reverse those decisions and reinstate police funding.

The problem is, many seasoned officers have decided to retire. They’ve seen enough of their communist antics and want no part of it. Officers are leaving at a rate that has never been seen before.

That means officers that have been on the force for only a few years are now being promoted faster into supervisory positions over new officers, when neither has the cushion of experience to help them in their new roles.

Even if the departments doubled their recruiting efforts, new recruits take almost a year before they go from applicant to on the street!  And, since budgets have been slashed by this childish behavior, and since crime is increasing and now, NOW these socialist children in charge are worried it is making them “look bad,” they are demanding the police do something about it. So, that means overtime for the cops that are left. That money comes from somewhere – and it is very often coming from the training resources. Which means no recruiting classes in some cities.

These liberal idiots are so filled with hatred and are definitely are demon possessed, that they have lost all sense of civility and moral compasses. They are incapable of understanding anything the Bible has to say about “love your neighbor as yourself.”

In fact, they interpret that to mean, sleeping around is Ok. Homosexuality is OK. Child sexual abuse is OK. Transgenderism is OK. They believe if today you’re a girl and tomorrow you want to be a boy, that’s OK. They don’t believe God is perfect and they don’t believe God created you to be a girl, and if you want to be a boy, that is right to do so – because, obviously, God has no clue what is going on. It’s His fault you’re all screwed up.

Notice it is never THEIR FAULT in anything. Ever!

Well, as we read yesterday, when I see all of these childish idiots proclaiming that the 4th of July just represents white oppression and all of that, I also notice they are taking the day off work. They are buying things for the BBQ. They are blessed because this nation has been blessed.

If they tried any of their stupid antics in, say China – how far do you think they would get? What about Russia?  I mean, come on!  They want Communism and Socialism, let’s go to the major players. Surely they would be able to point out the benefits of protests and things like that from the history of those nations. The prosperity and happiness the residents of those nations are enjoying, right?

No. It is only here, in America, where we even let immature, illogical, raving lunatics, the opportunity to run the streets and proclaim that “America is such a terrible place.”  If they tried that in any other nation, they would never be heard from again.

But, as I get ready to close this day, I do not want to mislead you in anyway. This nation WAS BLESSED by God. But that hedge of protection called the blessing is being removed. In fact, a major portion of it has already been removed.

That is one of the reasons we see all of these problems occurring – simultaneously – all over this land.

There is only ONE cure for all of this – and it is about to happen.  It is called, “The Soon Return of Jesus.”  Praise God!

When this occurs, as the Bible says, they will all gather together to fight against Him.  And you can see small examples of that today. Everywhere Donald Trump goes to speak, there are those protesting his right to do so, often resorting to violence.

What do you think it will be like when Jesus returns with tens of thousands of His saints (which, by the way is US as we will have been raptured prior to this day, known as “The Day of the Lord”).  Oh, Praise God!  What a glorious day that will be!

With just ONE WORD spoken from the lips of Jesus – ALL of these people will be destroyed in an instant. It happens so fast, the blood flows up to the bridles of horses!  That is a lot of people killed in an instant of time.

And who will those people be?  The very same ones you see right now, protesting everything, committing crimes and just hating everything this nation was founded upon, which is the Judeo- Christian standards as outlined in the Bible and the acknowledgment that JESUS IS LORD over us, over the United States and over the World.

That is a day I am looking forward to.  I’m actually looking forward to a day in the not so distant future, when Jesus comes to take us out of this crazy world that we live in today – as all of the demon possessed socialist idiots continue to get worse and worse.

    COME LORD JESUS! Amen!
