  • Prayer 2021 - July 4 - The Curse Upon This Nation pt 2
    Scripture For Today:
1 Samuel 8:6 “But when they said, “Give us a king to lead us,” this displeased Samuel, so he prayed to the Lord.”
The Curse Upon This Nation pt 2Independence Day! The 4th of July! Fireworks! BBQ’s and gatherings of family and friends! A national holiday to celebrate the publication of the Declaration of Independence!
From the initial writing of the Declaration of Independence through the writing of the Constitution; from the writing of the State Constitutions and through legal decisions issued by the Supreme Court – our Judeo-Christian heritage was always referenced in some form or fashion.
This nation was founded on the Bible. There is no other way around it.
Racists, Black Lives Matter, Socialist politicians – all of them – cannot prove otherwise.
And, the funny thing is, their protests which they claim is their “Constitutional right” to conduct and all that they say, is truly protected by the very documents they claim are illegitimate. They stand on the rights contained in their First Amendment and others to be able to protest against everything this nation is doing.
Their logic is so illogical, it’s downright funny.
They say they want to abolish the police, the military, etc. If that happened, who would they call when home grown law enforcement (i.e. militia’s) would rise up to replace the vacuum created by their “defund the police” tactics?
In many of these major liberal metropolitan cities, last years “Defund the Police” antics has backfired tremendously – and humorously – in their faces! Crime rates have soared tremendously. Now, they are trying to reverse those decisions and reinstate police funding.
The problem is, many seasoned officers have decided to retire. They’ve seen enough of their communist antics and want no part of it. Officers are leaving at a rate that has never been seen before.
That means officers that have been on the force for only a few years are now being promoted faster into supervisory positions over new officers, when neither has the cushion of experience to help them in their new roles.
Even if the departments doubled their recruiting efforts, new recruits take almost a year before they go from applicant to on the street! And, since budgets have been slashed by this childish behavior, and since crime is increasing and now, NOW these socialist children in charge are worried it is making them “look bad,” they are demanding the police do something about it. So, that means overtime for the cops that are left. That money comes from somewhere – and it is very often coming from the training resources. Which means no recruiting classes in some cities.
These liberal idiots are so filled with hatred and are definitely are demon possessed, that they have lost all sense of civility and moral compasses. They are incapable of understanding anything the Bible has to say about “love your neighbor as yourself.”
In fact, they interpret that to mean, sleeping around is Ok. Homosexuality is OK. Child sexual abuse is OK. Transgenderism is OK. They believe if today you’re a girl and tomorrow you want to be a boy, that’s OK. They don’t believe God is perfect and they don’t believe God created you to be a girl, and if you want to be a boy, that is right to do so – because, obviously, God has no clue what is going on. It’s His fault you’re all screwed up.
Notice it is never THEIR FAULT in anything. Ever!
Well, as we read yesterday, when I see all of these childish idiots proclaiming that the 4th of July just represents white oppression and all of that, I also notice they are taking the day off work. They are buying things for the BBQ. They are blessed because this nation has been blessed.
If they tried any of their stupid antics in, say China – how far do you think they would get? What about Russia? I mean, come on! They want Communism and Socialism, let’s go to the major players. Surely they would be able to point out the benefits of protests and things...

  • Prayer 2021 - July 3 - The Peace of God pt 2
Scripture For Today:Deuteronomy 4:7“What other nation is so great as to have their gods near them the way the Lord our God is near us whenever we pray to him?
The Peace of God pt 2

We have been studying what the Apostle Paul had to say about the benefits of praying in the Spirit. Yesterday, the Holy Spirit led us down a side path discussing the soon to come destruction of the United States – so if you missed that – go back and listen.

My intention today is to continue our study of “The Peace of God” that we started on July 1st. But, as we seen yesterday, the Holy Spirit is free to lead as He so desires. Amen!

So, in Philippians 6:18, we read:

“Be careful for nothing, but in everything, by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which passes all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Finally, my brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of a good report – if there be any virtue and if there be any praise, think on these things.”

We covered yesterday that the United States of America is embarking on a road of darkness, not enlightenment. They want to appease everyone, in violation of the Christian foundation of this nation – that JESUS IS THE ONLY WAY to Heaven. There is no other way.

In the Old Testament, in Genesis 11:1-9, a group of people decided they could make their own way to Heaven. They did not need God’s help. So, they started to build a tower.  It did not work out well for them, did it?

What makes you, or hopefully, not you, but what makes society today think they can get to Heaven on their own. Society in America today says, “We don’t need your God.”

And guess what, they will get their wish. Absolutely, 100%.

God does not SEND anyone to hell. They choose to go there by rejecting God and by rejecting Jesus. So, in the end, they get what they desired. They may not have understood it all, but they knew enough that when confronted with the Gospel, they reject it – because it is so “racist” or whatever other tag they want to put on it.

And, there are some, so called, Christian churches, so called pastors and so called Christians, who believe the same way. They endorse homosexuality and gay marriage. They endorse lawlessness all in the name of “standing up to the man.” You name it, it is happening today.

But, I  have good news for you today. God sees all of this. We can have the PEACE OF GOD ruling in our hearts, even when all hell is breaking loose around us. I can sit back and LAUGH (and I do) at the rioters in the streets. At the soaring crime rates in Democrat controlled cities. I LAUGH.  Why? Because that is what God is doing. Amen

I’ll show you. Turn to Psalms 37, verses 12-29:

“The wicked make evil plans against good people. They grind their teeth at them in anger. But the Lord laughs at the wicked. He sees that their day is coming. The wicked draw their swords. They bend their bows. They try to kill the poor and helpless. They want to kill those who are honest. But their swords will stab their own hearts. Their bows will break.

It’s better to have little and be right than to have much and be wrong. The power of the wicked will be broken. But the Lord supports those who do right. The Lord watches over the lives of the innocent. Their reward will last forever. They will not be ashamed when trouble comes. They will be full in times of hunger.

But the wicked will die. The Lord’s enemies will be like the flowers of the fields. They will disappear like smoke. The wicked people borrow but don’t pay back. But those who do right give freely to others. Those people the Lord blesses will inherit the land. But those he curses will be sent away.

When a man’s steps follow the Lord, God is pleased with his ways. If he stumbles, he will not fall, because the Lord holds his hand.

I was young, and now I am old. But I have never seen the Lord leave good people helpless. I have never seen their children begging for food. Good people always lend freely to others. And their children are a blessing.

Stop doing evil and do good. Then you will live forever. The Lord loves justice. He will not leave those who worship him. He will always protect them.

But the children of the wicked will die. Good people will inherit the land. They will live in it forever.”

    Amen.

  • Prayer 2021 - July 2 - The Curse Upon This Nation
Scripture For Today: Deuteronomy 4:7 “What other nation is so great as to have their gods near them the way the Lord our God is near us whenever we pray to him?
    The Curse Upon This Nation

We have been studying what the Apostle Paul had to say about the benefits of praying in the Spirit. But I chose this verse today because, not only does this apply to Israel, but also to the United States. We have been blessed as a nation because we were founded Christian principles. From the Declaration of Independence all the way up to about 1962, we kept ourselves adhering to Christian principles.

Not all of the time. No doubt slavery and other things marred our history. But, now, we as a nation, have turned our backs on God. Thumbed our noses at Him and basically, are giving Him the middle finger salute.

All of the social problems, all of the pandemic problems, all of the murders and crime rates, the invasion on our southern border – everything, is a result of this nation embracing, promoting and encouraging activities and lifestyles that go 100% contrary to the Word of God.

Is there any wonder why we are not experiencing the “Peace of God” as Paul said we should be? Let’s read Ephesians 6:18 again and see how we are SUPPOSED to be living:

“Be careful for nothing, but in everything, by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which passes all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Finally, my brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of a good report – if there be any virtue and if there be any praise, think on these things.”

I do not see any of that in our nation today. None. Not even among so called Christian churches. Most have holed up inside their four walls and are only concerned about their members and that’s it. They do not have a world vision anymore. They don’t even have a national vision anymore.

It used to be, America would train up and send missionaries off to the far parts of the world to evangelize and spread the Gospel. To get these nations to recognize that our Heavenly Father is the One True God and that Jesus is the ONLY way to Heaven. Period. End of Story.

But now, other nations, nations that 40 years ago were the recpeients of us sending them missionaries, are now sending missionaries to the United States because WE have lost our way. They are raising up missionaries to come here and spread the Gospel. Think how far we have slipped on that scale in just 40 years or so.

And, it is not the fault of the politicians alone. Nope. It is the fault of the CHRISTIAN CHURCH for not standing up to these wolves in sheep clothing who promise the world to their constituents if “you will only vote like I tell you.” Then, once the election is over, none of the promises come to pass. And they blame it all on those “conservative Christians.”

And this is taking place in the black community in every major metropolitian community. Why do you think none of these church leaders are organizing marches against the liberal, demon possessed politicians? Because they are in bed with them. They are just as guilty as Satan himself.

Am I stepping on some Spiritual toes today?  Good! Don’t shout me down when I’m preaching good! Praise God and Him alone.

We, as a nation, are about to experience a judgement that was never intended for us. We, as a nation, are about to lose everything we have every cherished. And it will be nobody’s fault, except the American Church leadership.  Great job guys.

All I can say is, you will answer for what you have done and failed to do.

For those who are not in church leadership, you better leave a church that is not standing up to these corrupt politicians. You better get out and take your money with you. You need to find a church that focuses on the WORD ONLY and not all the glitz and shows and entertainment. You need to repent. YOU need to repent.  WE – as a nation, had better repent.

That’s all the time I have for today. This was not the teaching I planned on, but Praise God, the Holy Spirit had something to day.

I want to pray for YOU and for this nation right now.

  • Prayer 2021 - July 1 - The Peace of God pt 1
Scripture For Today: Exodus 8:8 “Pharaoh summoned Moses and Aaron and said, “Pray to the Lord to take the frogs away from me and my people, and I will let your people go to offer sacrifices to the Lord.”

The Peace of God pt 1

We have been studying what the Apostle Paul had to say about the benefits of praying in the Spirit as outlined in Ephesians 6:18. But today, I want us to look at what he had to say in Ephesians 4:6-8.

Many people would like to have the Peace of God that Paul is talking about here in verse 7, right?

Verse 7 in the Amplified Bible says, “And God’s peace be yours, that tranquil state of a soul, assured of its salvation through Christ, and so fearing nothing from God and content with its earthly lot, whatsoever sort that is, that peace that transcends all understanding, shall garrison and mount guard over your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.”

I like that last part, “that peace which transcends all understanding, shall garrison and mount guard over your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.”

This means that God can keep both, your heart and your mind and your spirit, in peace. Amen!

This peace, the Peace of God, comes to us when we obey verse 6, “Be careful for nothing; but in everything, by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God.”

This is saying that the Peace of God in our soul lives is the direct result of a successful prayer life and obeying the Word. And we can only do that by spending time in the Word and making a sincere effort at spending time in the presence of God, through the Holy Spirit, during our prayer time. Amen!

It is impossible to obtain all that God wants for us in life, all that has been provided, all things that will give us the Peace of God and the things of God – it is impossible, without spending time in the Word of God through our study time and it is impossible without spending time in the presence of God through our prayer time.

We will pick it up here tomorrow, because I want to show you what happens when you try to do something outside of God’s way of doing things. It just doesn’t work. But we will get into that tomorrow.

  • Prayer 2021 - June 30 - Benefits of Praying in the Spirit pt 2

    Scripture For Today:

    Colossians 4:12

“Epaphras, who is one of you and a servant of Christ Jesus, sends greetings. He is always wrestling in prayer for you, that you my stand firm in all the will of God, mature and fully assured.”

Benefits of Praying in the Spirit pt 2

We have been studying what the Apostle Paul had to say about the benefits of praying in the Spirit. Today, I want us to look at what he had to say in Ephesians 6:18.

“Praying always with all prayer and supplications IN THE SPIRIT, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints.”

Notice, Paul did not say one word to the Church at Ephesus about praying in tongues. Not at all. But, he did say something about them praying IN THE SPIRIT.

But yet, we learned yesterday, that Paul told the Church in Corinth that praying in tongues was praying in the Spirit. Remember in 1 Corinthians 14:2, he said,

“…he that speaks in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God. For no man understands him, howbeit, in the Spirit, he speaks mysteries.”

Do you suppose that Paul meant the same thing in Ephesians 6:18 as he did in 1 Corinthians 14:2?  I believe he did – or else it would mean he is contradicting himself, which would also mean what he wrote was not the inspired Word of God. Which would mean, if he was wrong in this – we could call into question everything else he said. Which, if we could invalidate what Paul wrote, which is 2/3 of the New Testament, we could also question if ANY of the Bible is wrong!

So, I don’t believe Paul contradicted himself at all. Paul is encouraging the Church at Ephesus to follow the practice of praying and worshipping God in the Spirit, and that includes praying in tongues. Amen!

I want you to notice something else here as well…

Paul is telling us how to pray for the saints – other believers.  He said, “Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all PERSEVERENCE and SUPPLICATION for all saints.”

We know we are supposed to pray for one another. However, if we see a brother or sister in the Lord who is going through a trial or a tough time, we usually pray something like, “God bless brother so and so.” Or “God bless sister so and so.”

But that falls far, far short of the kind of prayer Paul is telling us is needful.  Those cute little prayers will not get the job done. Amen!

There is a way, as Paul outlined, that will be totally effective as we pray for others. That involves, as we have been studying, praying in the Spirit. Whether it is tongues or in our known language. The Spirit of God, the Holy Spirit, knows how to pray for anyone. And he is in us to help us with our prayers, as we studied before in Romans 8:26-27.

  • Prayer 2021 - June 29 - Benefits of Praying in the Spirit pt 1
Scripture For Today:Philippians 1:3“In all of my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy.”Benefits of Praying in the Spirit pt 1

We have been having an awesome time these last dozen or sessions as we have been studying extensively on the Holy Spirit and Holy Spirit led prayer.  I want to continue this discussion, looking at what the Apostle Paul said about prayer.

One of the most important ways the Holy Spirit helps us is by giving us utterances as we pray in tongues. Some people contact me and say it is only our mind coming up with these utterances. But as we have already seen, that just is not true at all. It may be true for that person that claims to only be using their mind, but it is not what scripture tells us.

Let’s look at what the Apostle Paul wrote in Romans 8:26:

“Likewise, the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought; but the Spirit (Himself) makes intercession for us with groanings that cannot be uttered.”

We learned before, that the literal Greek says the Spirit makes intercession for us “with groanings that cannot be uttered with articulate speech.”

    Let’s look at 1 Corinthians 14:2:

“For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh NOT TO MAN, but UNTO GOD: for no man understands him; howbeit in the Spirit, he speaketh mysteries.”

Moffatt’s translation says, “he that speaks in an unknown tongue is talking of divine secrets in the Spirit.”

Then, in 1 Corinthians 14:!4, Paul says:

“For if I pray in an unknown tongue, my spirit prays, but my understanding is unfruitful.”

The Amplified Bible say, of 1 Corinthians 14:!4:

“For if I pray in an unknown tongue, my spirit, by the Holy Spirit within me, prays, but my mind is unproductive – bears  no fruit and helps nobody.”

Paul was simply saying in this verse, that when the believer prays in tongues, it is his or her spirit praying, not his or her understanding or mind doing the praying. That means praying in other tongues is a spiritual exercise, not a mental exercise. Amen!
