I am interrupting our normal conversation today from the Prayer on the Prayer of Petition. Actually, this will be a prayer of petition, but due to the extreme nature of this petition, you will see an abbreviated form in today’s session.
The nation of Israel is under attack from Muslim extremists. So far, the Biden administration, here in the United States, the political left, the extremist, anti-American, anti-Israel, anti-God, anti-law and order, anti- Constitutionalists – are condemning Israel for defending itself from these attacks.
Imagine what would happen if a foreign nation sat off of the shore of Manhattan island and shot over 100 rockets into downtown NYC. Would the political forces of the United States just want to “talk” to the enemy? Or would the full force of the armed forces destroy the culprits?
This administration is running this nation full bore into an accelerated path called, “the curse” from the Bible.
I want to pray for Israel right now.
I want to pray for the nation of Isreal and the people of Israel.
I want to pray for the Christians in Israel and in the Muslim occupied territories.
Yes – I said MUSLIM OCCUPIED territories. Not “Jewish occupied…” The entire nation if Israel belongs to ISRAEL – not the Muslims. I don’t have the time to give you a history lesson on this. You can look it up… GOD gave this land to the Israeli people from the time of Abraham on down…
I want to pray…and I will be ready a few scripture references in doing so that state the case…
Let’s pray!
Father God, our Heavenly Father, we come to you this day in a special way. We are praying for Peace and Protection in Israel right now. We pray for Peace and Protection in Jerusalem right now. We pray for the enemies of Israel to be destroyed, right now. We pray for the political enemies of Israel to be destroyed right now. We pray for the military enemies of Israel to be destroyed right now. We pray for the protection of the Christians in Israel right now. We pray for the protection and political strength of Christians in Muslim territories to be given FAVOR right now and that they would take a public stand of Faith right now. Faith in you. Faith in your Word. Faith in the Power of God to protect them from all attacks – right now.
We pray against the political forces in the United States of America that are aligning themselves with the demonic Muslim nations that are attacking Israel right now. They are bringing a curse upon themselves and THIS nation for their public attack on Israel. May their words they speak against Israel be invoked on their own lives, their own families and – yes, this country. May the curses they speak be applied to their own lives, their own families and – yes, this country.
I use the following scriptures in support of this prayer of petition to publicly and prayerfully to support Israel. As a believer in Jesus the Messiah, as a believer of your Word, I stand on the Word of God to protect me, my family and my fellow brothers and sisters in Christ. As a believer of your Word – I am a child of the Most High God, heir of God, joint heir with Christ and a citizen of the Kingdom of Heaven, not of this world nor of this nation. I serve the MOST HIGH GOD – not the leaders of this nation.
Genesis 12:1-3 says, "The Lord had said to Abram, “Go from your country, your people and your father’s household to the land I will show you.
“I will make you into a great nation, and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you.”
Psalm 122: 6-9 says, “Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: May those who love you be secure. May there be peace within your walls and security within your citadels. For the sake of my family and friends, I will say, “Peace be within you.” For the sake of the house of the Lord our God, I will seek your prosperity.”
Lord, may Psalm 129:5-8 be invoked immediately on all that are attacking Israel, militarily and politically. Both in other nations and people groups and on the political leaders of the United States of America and on this nation. May the eyes of our leaders be opened to the TRUTH of your Word.
Psalm 129:5-8 says, “May everyone who hates Zion be defeated and driven back. May they all be like grass growing on the housetops, which dries up before it can grow; no one gathers it up or carries it away in bundles. No one who passes by will say, “May the Lord bless you! We bless you in the name of the Lord.”
1 Timothy 2:1-7 says, “I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people— for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth. For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all people. This has now been witnessed to at the proper time. And for this purpose I was appointed a herald and an apostle—I am telling the truth, I am not lying—and a true and faithful teacher of the Gentiles.
In addition, I offer the following prayers and scriptures for those facing persecution, in Israel and abroad and in the United States right now. Those who are taking a public stand of Faith, despite the demonic rhetoric of the Democrat party and those in this nation that support the demonically controlled people in power.
James 1:2-4 Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.
Romans 8:17-18 Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory. I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us.
James 1:12 Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him.
Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.
Psalm 112: 1, 7-8 Praise the Lord! Happy are those who fear the Lord. They are not afraid of evil tidings; their hearts are firm, secure in the Lord. Their hearts are steady, they will not be afraid.
2 Corinthians 12:9 My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.
Psalm 46:1 God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
John 15:18-19: “If the world hates you, know that it has hated me before it hated you. If you were of the world, the world would love you as its own; but because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you.
John 17:14 & 16 says, “I have given them your word, and the world has hated them because they are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world.
1 John 2:15-17 says, “Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world—the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride in possessions—is not from the Father but is from the world. And the world is passing away along with its desires, but whoever does the will of God abides forever.
1 John 4:5 clearly says, “They are from the world; therefore they speak from the world, and the world listens to them.
James 4:4 says, “You adulterous people! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Therefore whoever wishes to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.
Ephesians 6:12 clearly describes the political powers in the United States right now. From Joe Biden on down: “For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.
Phillippians 3:20 says, “But our citizenship is in heaven, and from it we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ,
Matthew 6:24 says, ““No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and money.
1 John 2:16 says, “For all that is in the world—the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride in possessions—is not from the Father but is from the world.
Matthew 7:16-20 says, “Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and the sea was no more. And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man. He will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God. He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.” And he who was seated on the throne said, “Behold, I am making all things new.” Also he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.” ...
Matthew 7:13 says, ““Enter by the narrow gate. For the gate is wide and the way is easy that leads to destruction, and those who enter by it are many.
Father, we thank you this day for moving to protect Israel and to destroy her enemies. We pray this will be evident and that it would be used to bring even more people into the Kingdom of God by Jesus our Savior. In Jesus Name we Pray. Amen!
Now, brothers and sisters, I know this was long…but it IS a prayer of petition. It was hastily put together, but it illustrates how to effectively prepare and then pray your requests to God the Father, in the Name of Jesus.
Now, as we close this prayer, I will quote one more scripture as we close.
It is from 1 John 5:14-15.
Father, we pray this prayer of petition to you this day, KNOWING that you hear us and will answer our prayer request. We base this off of your word, your promise to us, in First John chapter five verses 14 & 15 which state: This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him."
We thank you Father, in Jesus Name we pray. Amen.
Folks, I’m closing this session down. Please share on social media far and wide. In Jesus name.
Amen…
Yesterday, I left off with the concept of YOU doing some Bible research to find as many scriptures as possible that speak directly or indirectly to your situation. By spending time in the Word of God and finding these scriptures, you WILL build and increase your Faith.
How does that work? Simple, you begin to find God’s Word and how it applies to your situation. As you find more and more examples of how the Word actually WORKS in your situation, that increases the confidence you have that your prayer will truly be answered. Amen!
You can – and should – also include “The Prayer of Binding and Loosing” with your Prayer of Petition. What does this mean and how does that apply? Stick with me here…
The prayer referencing “Binding and Loosing,” is found in Matthew 18:18-19. Jesus says: "'Assuredly, I say to you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven. Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven.'"
There are several important nuggets in Jesus' statements here, the first being that we have authority here on this earth by virtue of our covenant rights through Jesus. The second thing we notice is the direction of the action. Things do not begin in heaven and come to Earth, but rather the action starts here on Earth. Notice that it says, "Whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven."
Like all things in God's system, this type of prayer works only in line with God's Word and His laws. You cannot bind things willy-nilly. Binding a team to lose in the Super Bowl won't work any more than loosing someone to love you.
You can, however, bind foul spirits that are at work in people's lives or loose angelic spirits to work on your behalf in those areas where God has already promised you results. When you pray in this manner, God affirms it in heaven and puts His seal of approval on your prayer. Binding and loosing have to be based on the authority God has granted you in Scripture, not on some desire you have.
My number one pet peeve concerning prayer is the use of the phrase, “If it be thy will.” Or, “If it is your will…” This one phrase can negate your entire prayer! It takes you from a position of FAITH and puts you right back into unbelief. And if you are in unbelief, you are not in a position to receive the answer from God that you are seeking.
I know that sounds harsh. And I did touch on this a bit ago about the Prayer of Dedication and Prayer and Worship. But I want to emphasize one more time how so many Christians do not see results, because they end if, “IF it is your will.”
Let me see…
Is there sickness in Heaven? No
Is there death in Heaven? No
Are their cripple people in Heaven? No
Is there lack in Heaven? No – the streets are made of gold! What we consider valuable here is used as asphalt there!
Is the devil in Heaven? No
Are there demons in Heaven? No
So obviously, ALL of those things are not God’s will, correct? Because ONLY HIS WILL is “done in Heaven.” Am I correct?
So if you end every prayer with “If it be thy will” or something similar to that, it shows you DO NOT KNOW that God’s Will is concerning the subject you are praying about!
Don’t feel bad if you’ve been doing that! There are many people I know that do this. They were taught that way and it has become habitual. Habits are hard to break. You do them without even thinking about it.
I’ll talk a bit more on breaking bad habits and replacing them with new habits, Godly habits, tomorrow. Amen!

We have been studying about Prayer of Petition. Yesterday, I emphasized the example of having to go to work for a living. For a paycheck. And most people today live, “paycheck to paycheck.” I also related how that is a modern day form of slavery. It may not be a popular term today, but is true.
Hebrews 11:1 says, "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." Your faith is substance—it is something real, something tangible. It is evidence of things you cannot see.
Mark 11:24 says, “Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe you receive it and you shall have it.”
Notice that Mark 11:24 does not say when you will actually see the result of your prayer. It does not tell you how long it will take for that prayer result to appear, and this is where many Christians get hung up.
God lives in one eternal time called NOW. There is no past or present for Him. But we are temporal beings who live in the context of natural time.
When you pray in faith, God immediately gives you what you prayed for—in the spirit realm. But in the natural world, due to a number of factors, it may take time for the answer to manifest itself.
God answers prayers, and He will answer your specific prayer in line with His Word. But it is your faith that brings that answer out of the spiritual world and into the physical world. How many times in Scripture does Jesus say to someone, "According to your faith"?
He referred to peoples' faith constantly, and even though it was His power that healed them, He always credited their faith with being the catalyst. In fact, when Jesus went to His hometown, we are told that "He did not do many mighty works there because of their unbelief" (Matt. 13:58).
Did Jesus suddenly lose His power on that visit to Nazareth? No!
His power never changed. What changed? It was the people's level of faith mixed with His power.
There is a simple spiritual explanation for this. God will not do something against your will. God cannot violate free will. If you don't have faith to do something, He won't arbitrarily override your lack of faith.
Which means, if you want to see quick actions on your prayers, according to “your faith, be it done unto you.” How does this apply to you, your prayers and your situation?
Easy – you need to INCREASE the POWER of YOUR FAITH! And you do that by the Word of God. The amount of the Word you have inside of you.
This is why I said before, go through the Bible and make a list of scriptures that speak directly or indirectly to whatever situation you are going to Petition God to answer. Amen!

We have been studying about the Prayer of Petition. Yesterday, I shared you cannot go into the Prayer of Petition without knowing what you want to say and how you are going to say it. Today, I’ll take it up from there.
You need to spend the time in God’s Word. You need to do the research and study scripture related to your situation. You need to have a list of scriptures in front of you that either directly reference your situation or can at least apply to your situation. Knowing the Bible was written 2000 years or more ago, there are still things in our life and in our culture that are directly addressed in the Bible. That is why you can use scripture “that could be applied” to your situation.
For example, we oppose slavery. Back in Biblical days, slavery was a part of everyday life. It was wrong – it is wrong. But we cannot pretend it did not happen. We need to embrace the fact it did happen and then work to make sure it does not happen anymore. We don’t need to deny it or remove it from the Bible or from our history.
But, did you know that you are a type of slave today? Or, a better word would be “indentured servant?”
“What do you mean, brother Bob?”
If you have a job, you work for an employer. You promise to obey the rules of the job. You promise to show up on time. You promise to do what you are told. If you fail to do any of those thing, you will not be working there anymore. You will not be taken out back and beaten, but there will be a penalty inflicted for failing to obey your “master.”
One more example, the Bible is very clear, “The borrow is SERVANT (or slave) to the Lender.”
If you think that is not so, stop making your car payment. Stop making your house payment. Stop paying your rent. Stop paying for your furniture, etc. What will soon happen?
You will find out real quick WHO you are truly working for!
Still don’t believe me? Try this next Monday morning… (in actuality, I need to make a disclaimer here – this is just an example and I do not recommend you do this. OK? But, if you truly want to understand that you are a slave in this day and time in which we live, you can TRY this to see how it works for you)…
Call your boss next Monday morning and tell him or her, “I’ve decided to take a six month sabbatical. I’ll be staying home relaxing and praying and studying the Bible for the next six months. I’ll talk to you then and be back to work in six months.”
What do you think your boss is going to say?
Probably something to the effect of, “You better get dressed and into work right now – or your fired!”
If you are dependent on the income you are receiving from your job – you are a slave to that job and to the boss, your master. It’s as simple as that.
I’ve used this as an example for our Prayer of Petition. Even though the Bible does not directly say, “You shall serve your master in the XYZ company…” it does reference obeying your masters in the flesh. Amen.
That brings us back to what I said about having your petition drawn up according to the Word of God. Then, find out what God has already done regarding your situation. If you need healing, look up those scriptures pertaining to healing. Present your petition. No matter what your situation may be, God has provided an answer for it.

We have been studying about binding and loosing, the prayer of agreement and believing you receive your prayers as answered when you pray. Yesterday, I promised to do a few teachings specifically on the “Prayer of Petition.”
The prayer of faith, also known as petition prayer, is the prayer that most people think of when they use the term "prayer." Petition prayer is between you and God. It is you asking God for a particular outcome.
The key verse for the prayer of faith is Mark 11:24, in which Jesus says, "'Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.'"
The rule to consider here is when you pray—not after you pray, not when you feel something, not when you see something. When you pray (the moment that you pray) you must believe that you receive what you asked for.
The prayer of petition and supplication can be defined as “a formal request addressed to a higher power.” This prayer changes things. It is based on Philippians 4:6: “Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.”
Do not go into the prayer of petition and supplication without knowing what you want to say and how you want to say it. Have your petition drawn up according to the Word of God. Then, find out what God has already done regarding your situation. If you need healing, look up those scriptures pertaining to healing. Present your petition. No matter what your situation may be, God has provided an answer for it.
Hebrews 11:1 says, "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." Your faith is substance—it is something real, something tangible. It is evidence of things you cannot see.
Notice that Mark 11:24 does not say when you will actually see the result of your prayer. It does not tell you how long it will take for that prayer result to appear, and this is where many Christians get hung up.
