I am back in Cumberland with Amy Muloin and Taze Kozak in the banjo shop to share some original songs. - Amy, a good friend and one of my favourite performers in the Comox Valley brings the groove to a country sound. She is still yet to record her long overdue first album. - Taze, who is in a band called The Wits, lives in Royston with his family and is constantly writing and recording. - His songwriting has the right amount of grit which he smooths out with his golden voice. - Not all his songs have cigarettes in them, just the ones in this episode. - They talk about their creative process in songwriting and the few gigs they've had since Covid hit. - We open misfortune cookies and have a time!

My friend and boss Pat Bryson and I are sharing a slanted log cabin at Canim Lake Resort while we finish off the fall brushing contract. - We chat about our current living quarters and the inspiration we get to build a log home every time we stay in one. - We have conversations about helicopter work in the silviculture industry and the typical old guys hunting that we run into on bush roads. - We both want to be healthier, more disciplined, better people who aren't mount breathing. - Pat is an advocate of poo gloo. - It was a super chill relaxing conversation.
