John and Rooney walk out on a peaceful early Sunday morning, watch an impressive sunrise, discuss their neighbour's new classic Triumph Spitfire, wedding anniversary celebrations, a mind-blowing new Thai restaurant, sight a booted eagle, and get surrounded by a wind storm.

After a morning walk with Rooney that was hijacked by the man with the drill (he's always there, isn't he?), and the barking dog, John heads out to the mountains to be greeted by two golden eagles and a panorama to soothe the soul.

John walks with Rooney early, to observe how a Russian man attempts to train his Doberman pincher. Then switched to a pm hike over the high mountains of Benahavis to survey the damage caused by the 6 day wildfires.

John and Rooney take a dawn walk and observe the ravages of the mountain fire that has been burning for 5 days, see a pod of dolphins, witness a lip splitting pavement fall, and savor the peaceful silence of a Sunday dawn.

John and Rooney encounter a few neighbours while on their morning walk, observe the mountain fire and review an attempted coup d'etat.

John and Rooney reunite, watch Griffons searching for thermals, see a huge mountain fire, visit the Cotswolds, review John's Camino de Santiago, and back to college.

John heads off to Pamplona to catch the bus to St Jean du Pied du Port, in France, to commence the Camino. Told from the tranquility of the English Cotswolds

John practised again for the Camino de Santiago with a hike to the summit of Montemayor, encounters a very inked trail biker, marvels at the huge vista, encounters an eagle family, a swoop of swallows (house martins), swallowtail butterflies, climbs 800m to the ruins of the 8th century Castillo de Montemayor, and hikes around its senderos (footpaths).
