My guest is Marcia Moran.  She suffered a stroke in 2014 and has persevered through her recovery to find new passions and strengthen her relationships.  We talk about her experience having a stroke, her hospital stay and subsequent rehab.  From there, her story continues into her continued recovery and relationships with friends and family, especially her husband.  Those suffering a stroke or those helping family recover from a stoke can draw inspiration and instruction from her story.  During COVID, it is important to learn from her lessons of continuous improvement and assess priorities during change.

My guest is Kathryn Haines, Chesterfield County (Virginia) School Board.  We have an in-depth conversation about the board's decision to start the school year virtually for all students (including special needs).  We compare private to public schools, teacher compensation and safety, social distancing requirements, and the difference in neighboring counties choosing to open.  She describes the various government entities involved in the decision and plans and how each needs to work together for opening.  We also talk about the near and short term plans and consequences of having to navigate school during COVID.
