Success on Purpose Podcast with Chris Creary

I often hear a prayer request asking to be closer to God or to know God more. And this is a good indication of your heart and a good request. What we need to remember is that there is no end to how much we can know about God. So he is just not going to pour all of himself onto us at one time. It will overwhelm us. But we need to peruse him and desire him and as much as we seek him, that’s as much as we will find. Today I’m sharing some encouragement regarding knowing God more.

The enemy is a deceiver and a liar and he would love to trick you into thinking that you are saved and going to heaven when you haven’t committed your life to Jesus. I’ve realized that there are a lot of religious things that people do that have no spiritual impact and have no biblical reason for doing them. These things need to stop.

As long as we have breath in our lungs there is a way that we can come back to God when we make a mistake. Sin separates us from God. But Jesus is the bridge that reconnects us back to him. We should try to live a sinless life but at times we will fall. When it happens it isn’t a surprise to God. I’m fact he already made a way for us to hat back in relationship with Him. Today we are going to go over some verses that we can remember when we sin and fall short of his glory.

As long as we live on this earth we will have to deal with fighting against our flesh and sinful desires. To help us to be successful in overcoming the flesh we need to learn how to apply principles from the word of God into our everyday life. So today I’m going to go over something that I learned years ago called the Moses Principle for overcoming the flesh. I’m going to read a passage of scripture and break it down so that you can understand and apply the principle into your life. The goal is that you will be able to overcome the flesh daily as you walk with Jesus.

We need to live by the spirit. Living in the flesh will get us nowhere. In fact, the flesh will lead us away from God and to a place of desolation, death and eternal separation from God. This is why we have to learn how to quiet our flesh so that we can be lead by the spirit.

I think one of the most important topics that we can study because we need to know how God speaks to us so that we ca receive his direction every single day. This topic of hearing from God may be difficult for some people but I’m going to break it down to show you that it’s very simple to hear from God.

Gods word is very powerful. One of the things it can do is give us instructions or foresight into what we should do in our lives. One things that I’ve learned and we all need to remember is that a miracle is usually not required when biblical principles are followed. And God has given us his word and filled it with principles that we can follow and experience the expected result. So before we get into a situation where we need a miracle, let’s be sure to follow and apply Godly principles. Today I’m going to go over a few common scenarios that you may have experienced. And this is part 2 of 2.  If you want to listen to part one, click here.
