Summer Series Podcast 2016

This is a series for listeners of all ages. We hope that you learn about Jesus Christ's knowledge of the scriptures and His desire to educate the disciples of the future.

Do you believe that Jesus is eternal? This means that Jesus Christ had neither beginning nor an end. This is why we can eternal life through Him. Only an eternal God can grant His mortal creations eternal life. In our story, the doubters try to tempt an eternal God with temporal questions of which He confounds them. The disciples ask Him about the future and He gives them a glimpse into glory. Jesus reminds the disciples that life goes on even if He will not be with them. We all should remember that Jesus may not be with us today physically but we have the comforter that guides us and leads us. Will the disciples and others except this truth or will they write it off as a random though?

Hosanna! Hosanna! God the Creator is come! Bow the knee and worship the King. Hallelujah Praise The Lamb! Jesus makes His triumphal entry into the holy city! Do you think that people are happy about this? The answer is no! They actually try to stop Him but something happens. When we see Jesus, as He is, the Great I Am, we see ourselves as insignificant and powerless. God is worth of our praise and He is a good God even when we aren’t a obedient people. Hallelujah, Praise the Lamb. Will the people accept Jesus as the Messiah?

What would you do in order to get to Jesus? Would you climb a tree in order to see? Would you restore all the wrong that you have done? Sometimes people want to have a close relationship with Jesus but they aren’t willing to do what is necessary in order for it to occur. In our story, Zaccheus begins to adopt a life of honesty and righteousness but he lack one thing; a meeting with Jesus. As hard as he tried, there was still something missing in his life and a void that needed to be filled. How about you? Are you trying to do good or turn over a new leaf but you find that there is something missing and a void that needs to be filled? Only Jesus can fill the void in your soul. Will Zaccheus meet Jesus? Where will he meet Jesus?

Do you recall the bible account of Jesus raising Lazarus from the dead? Jesus was on His way to see this family but Lazarus dies and is buried for over 3 days. Mary, Lazarus’ sister is terribly grief stricken but tells Jesus that if He had been there that none of this would have happened. The bible tells us that Jesus wept and immediately after the Savior is moved action occurred. We do this even today. When bad things occur often times we say things like: what if, or why couldn’t or even why would God allow this. Sometimes God has other things in mind for humanity than just making you happy. When all of the people saw this miracle of life after death, they believed on Jesus without doubt. However, I wonder what Lazarus would say if he were to testify. Would he remember what happened or would not be able to recall the events.

This is how most people begin new relationships and maintain them but you must meet this new person first before a relationship can be established. In our story, Jesus begins to teach about the Kingdom of Heaven through the parables of the great feast and the prodigal son. He later encounters ten lepers and cleanses them of their leprosy. These leprous men were without hope and in a realm of sadness until Jesus came. When Jesus comes, you will beam the Light of God from your face and make other say “You Must Have Met Him.” Will these ten lepers come back and praise God for what He has done or will they forget Him?

This is a series for listeners of all ages. We hope that you learn about the mission of the disciples.

What is expected of a Christian? Is it kindness, grace, love, patience or joy? In our story Jesus begins to develop the disciples into ordained ministers of the gospel. They went out into the world and began to teach about the wonderful love of Christ. We also see the kindness of a Samaritan to the need of a stranger. The hallmark of Christianity is to be kind and treat others better than you would treat yourself. When we reach out and touch this world we see them respond. How can we reach a world we never touch? Simply put, we can’t! In order to reach this world we have to leave our padded pews of comfort and go just like Jesus sent out the seventy. Will these men return back to the master empty handed?
