What happened during Pentecost? Who was there and what did the disciples, now Apostles do during this time? In our story, the Apostles partake in a great showing of the power of God after they all have met the Holy Spirit in the upper room. When most people think about Pentecost, they think about revival. It has been said that revival will not be successful unless it begins with self first. The disciples could not share God with the world unless they have met Him for themselves. Pentecost was a massive preaching service where everyone heard the story of Jesus in his or her own language. When man can hear God clearly in a way that they can clearly interpret and understand, the Holy Spirit can prick at the heart. When God touches the heart, this is the foundation of revival. Will the people all understand God in their own language?

How To Raise Your Children According To The Bible (Part 4)

Psalm 103:1-18

"Bless the Lord, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name. Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases; Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies; Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle's. The Lord executeth righteousness and judgment for all that are oppressed. He made known his ways unto Moses, his acts unto the children of Israel. The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy. He will not always chide: neither will he keep his anger for ever. He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities. For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his mercy toward them that fear him. As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us. Like as a father pitieth his children, so the Lord pitieth them that fear him. For he knoweth our frame; he remembereth that we are dust. As for man, his days are as grass: as a flower of the field, so he flourisheth. For the wind passeth over it, and it is gone; and the place thereof shall know it no more. But the mercy of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear him, and his righteousness unto children's children; To such as keep his covenant, and to those that remember his commandments to do them."

IV. Express Affection

So in my dealings with my own children and the time I spend with other parents' children I find that the majority of children feel that their parents don't care about them. How is this so? It's almost like the parents are afraid to show anything but sternness and strong emotions to their children. Sometimes they can go the other way and become too loose with the children; which we spoke about in part three of our devotional series.

The Apostle Thomas, whom we all know as doubting Thomas, said I will not believe until I see the prints of the nails in His hands the spear mark in His side. Jesus assured Him that it was Him and to handle the tangible evidence. Now armed with this new information, the disciples can go and teach the world about Jesus Christ and spread Calvary’s Cry to the masses. The message of redemption through slain and resurrected God as man to save mankind from their own sin and restore men to God. Friend I hope that have trusted in our risen Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Today is the day of salvation; don’t put off tomorrow what can be done today. All have an invitation to Calvary, don’t ignore this call RSVP with your hearts and minds. Just like the disciples had a decision to make, so do you. Will the disciples reach people with this news? Will they except it?

Where you there when they crucified my Lord? Where you there when they laid Him in the tomb? Jesus Christ is dead! What will humanity do? The priests are scared, the disciples are sad and the Romans are skeptical. Was He the Son of God? What will we do? Asked the disciples. We will bury in Him in a new tomb. The devil laughed in victory as Jesus died on the cross. Does this mean that this world belongs to him now? Is he the ruler and supreme king of this world? Is humanity forever lost? Was it as a lie or is there still hope?
