This morning, Sandra shared a timely word from Acts 1 on waiting on God to move in power. Sometimes, it doesn't look like we think it should, but God is faithful and will move in our lives. 

This Sunday, we had the privilege of hearing Pastor Evan speak about Jesus' interaction with the Samaritan woman at the well. We are encouraged to thirst and be filled with the living water of God's Spirit. 

In this message, Pastor Lizzy retold the story of the wee little man, Zacchaeus, from Luke 19, and illustrated how, with one look from Jesus, his life was changed. What would happen if we saw others as Jesus does, and walked in His transformative power?

This morning, Pastor Lizzy looked at the Apostle Paul's writing in the book of Philippians and asked and answered the question, "Can a follower of Jesus truly and authentically have joy in all circumstances?" We also celebrated together as we welcomed an Evan and Sandra Fletcher to our pastoral team at Summit. Be encouraged and filled with joy as you listen to the message this week!

This morning, Pastor Lizzy looked at the life and struggles of Joseph in order to show us that God is with us in the muck, and that He works all things together for good. Pastor Lizzy wraps up our 2024 vision sermon series: Seen, Known, Loved. In this sermon, Pastor Lizzy shared about God's great love for us from Jesus' story about the Prodigal Son. This passage reminds us of our great need for God's love and grace, and also our responsibility to love those around us as Jesus did.

This morning, we continued digging into the vision that God has for us this year: Seen, Known, Loved. We focused on the second aspect of the vision today, that we are known by God. We also took time to know each other, as we welcomed new members into the church and entered into deeper relationship both with God and with each other. 

In this message, Pastor Lizzy introduced the word from the Lord for our church in 2024, "Seen, known, loved," with a focus on the first part, "Seen." Through a study of Hagar, we learn that God sees us, He hears our cries, and He speaks to us. 

This morning, Pastor Lizzy looked at Mary and Elizabeth, and how they experienced joy in the midst of their circumstances. In all situations, we can choose joy and spread joy because of the Good News; that Jesus is here. He is Immanuel, God with us. 

Today, Pastor Lizzy continued in our Advent series, with a focus on Peace. Just as the prophet Micah was able to look past his circumstance and long for peace, we are to take our eyes off of the struggle and chaos, and look to Jesus, the Prince of Peace, to bring peace to us, others, and our world.
